Feast of Corpus Christi – Body and Blood of Christ 11th June 2023
Fr. Philip Smith – Diamond Jubilee
Fr. Brendan, Fr. Michael and the entire parish community take this opportunity to warmly congratulate Fr. Phil Smith on the occasion of the 60th Anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood.
Fr. Phil is a native of Stamullen parish, where he now resides since retirement. Fr. Phil ministered in the Diocese of Lancaster in the UK, after ordination, before returning home to dedicate his life to the people of God here in the Diocese of Meath.
We heartily thank Fr. Phil for his dedicated ministry, congratulating him on this great milestone, and wish him the blessings of health and happiness for the future.
We remember our young parishioners who are sitting Junior and Leaving Certificate Exams.
We ask parishioners to keep them, and all who are sitting exams, in their prayers.
Exam Prayer
Lord, pour out your Spirit of Wisdom on these students;
Help them to remain calm at all times,
To attend carefully to the questions asked on the papers,
To think clearly, to remember accurately,
and to express themselves well.
Grant that they may reflect the best of the work
they have done
and the best of the teaching they have received.
Accept their best efforts in these examinations
and in the great test of life.
Lord, pour out your blessing upon the parents/guardians and family of all students.
May you also comfort them at this time of worry.
May your love be upon the students and parents, O Lord,
as they place their trust in you.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
