Your prayers are requested for the repose of the soul of Frank Martin, formerly Station Road, Gormanston (brother of Christy Martin), whose funeral took place in the UK during the week.
Please remember all bereaved families in your prayers.
Sacraments in our Parish
First Communion
Congratulations to the children from the parish in Whitecross School who made their First Communion in our Parish this weekend.
Thank you to all who helped to make this a wonderful Ceremony: Our Principal Mr. Doran and all the staff from Whitecross School.
Thanks also to all who helped prepare the Church and to those who participated at the ceremony.
A special word of thanks to the school choir and their teachers for their wonderful singing and music which adds an extra special dimension to the Ceremony.
Thank you to the parents, families and teachers for their joy in helping to pass on the love of God to our young parishioners.
We look forward to continuing our faith journey together with these children and wish them and their families every blessing.

Baptism Baptism Preparation
Our next preparation meeting takes place on Tuesday, 3rd June.
Please note this is the last meeting before the Summer holidays. If you wish to register your child for Baptism during the Summer, please contact our parish office.
Parish Projects 2025
St. Mary’s Church
The weather has been perfect for the Repairs to the Roof and Gutters in St. Mary’s Church which started this week. Please God it will continue. This vital work will seal the Church and eliminate leaks for once and for all.
We will continue with weekday Masses in St. Patrick’s Church -
- During this work all week-day Masses and Exposition will take place in St. Patrick’s Church.
- Weekend Masses and Funerals will take place in St. Mary’s Church as normal.

Our Parish Insurance has been paid. The total for Parish Insurance Premium this year is € 9,072.98.
Plaque in St. Mary’s Church
We are preparing information for the Plaque dedicated to Benefactors who donated € 500 or more towards the essential work on our Churches.
There is still time to include your intention (remembering a deceased person or your family) on this Parish Plaque which will be placed in St. Mary’s Church.
Donation sheets envelopes are available beside the Newsletters, or you can complete a Form and send the donation via bank transfer.
(If you use Bank Transfer, please state your name/Plaque in the Reference and please complete a form so we have your information and your intended inscription).
Moorechurch Cemetery
Mass and Blessing of Graves in Moorechurch Cemetery will take place on Sunday, 6th July at 11:30 am.
We again remind families, if you are having work done on your grave, or changing flowers etc., you must bring soil, dead flowers, etc., home.

Our Parish Safeguarding representatives: Garreth O’Donohoe and Carol McKiernan, can be contacted, in strict confidence, in our Parish Office.
Looughcrew Mass
Come and help us celebrate the 400th Anniversary of the birth of St. Oliver in Loughcrew on Sunday, 29th June at 3pm in Oldcastle. (Eircode A82 X4Y1) All are very welcome.
St. Patrick’s GFHC Lotto
