Sacraments in our Parish
Our Parish Confirmation and First Holy Communion ceremonies have now concluded for this year, and we would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone involved in preparing the children from our schools for these special Sacraments.
We are deeply grateful to the principals, teachers, and all staff of both schools for their dedication and support.
A special word of thanks also to the school choirs, whose time and talent helped make the ceremonies so meaningful and memorable.
We would also like to thank our parishioners who took part in the enrolment ceremonies and who continue to keep these children, and all the children of our parish, in their prayers.
Our heartfelt thanks to the parents for their support and for the enthusiasm with which they share the love of God with their children, showing them how valued and cherished they are.
We look forward to continuing this faith journey together with the children and their families, and we wish them every blessing for the future.
Baptism
The Baptism of a child is a very special occasion in the life of a family.
Your Parish Community shares in your joy.
It is also a very special occasion in the life of the Church. Just as we welcome a child into our families, so too the Church welcomes children into the family of God.
Baptism is the Church’s sacrament of welcome and the gateway to all the other sacraments.
Recently we welcomed Ailbhe Keane, Olivia Hughes, Phoebe McCabe, Azaniah Mundeke, Zack Keating Skitarelic, Luca Hinchliffe, Rían Mooney and Onóra Rusk to our community of Faith.
We pray that the Lord will guide their Parents, Grandparents, and Sponsors in their spiritual care.
If you wish to request Baptism for your child, please contact our Parish Office.
Our next Baptism preparation meeting takes place this Tuesday, 5th May at 7:30 pm in St. Patrick’s Parish Centre.
We have four young parishioners preparing for First Communion in May -
Last weekend the children Enrolled after Mass on Sunday.
This weekend they will make their First Confession after 11:30 am Mass and next weekend they will receive their First Communion.
This is a very exciting time for these children and their families.
