Creating a May Altar in your home:
Many people create a small May Altar in their home during the month of May. May is the Marian month when Catholics give special praise to Mary, gifted to us as our heavenly mother. May is also the first month of summer, so altars are adorned with flowers and items of devotion such as rosary beads, crucifix, candle or bible to express our love and honour to Mary in our home. During May we invite families to pray a decade of the Rosary or Angelus together.

Prayer for Vocations
God our Father, send workers into your harvest. May the Spirit we received in baptism touch the hearts of many to offer themselves in priesthood, religious life and other forms of service. Give the parents and families of our diocese the wisdom and courage to support young people in searching for and following the call of God in their lives. Amen
Act of Spiritual Communion
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You, Amen.
