Fourtn Sunday of Lent 15th March 2026

Sunday 15 March 2026

Published 16 March 2026

R. I. P.

Your prayers are requested for the repose of the soul Sr. Margaret Lenoard (sister-in law of Clare Leonard) whose Funeral took place during the week.

Please remember all bereaved families in your prayers.

Mother’s Day Prayer

Gracious God,

We thank you for adopting us into your family through the miracle of your grace,

and for calling us to be brothers and sisters

to each other.

Today, loving God,

we pray for our mothers:

who cared for us when we were helpless,

who comforted us when we were hurt,

whose love and care we often took for granted.

Today we pray for

those who are grieving the loss of their mother,

those who never knew their biological mother,

and now yearn for her;

those who have experienced the wonder of an adopted mother’s love;

those families separated by war or conflict.

Lord, give them special blessings.

Keep us united with you and with each other,

so that we can be and become

all that we are meant to be.

Amen.

News from our Diocese

From January, 6th 2026, Bishop Tom, having considered the pastoral needs of our Diocese and after consultation with the People of God over the last few years – has established Fourteen new Pastoral Areas in our Diocese, recognising the changing pastoral realities within our parish communities, including demographic shifts, the aging profile of our clergy and the need for strengthened collaboration between parishes, clergy and lay faithful.

These Pastoral areas have been established to promote more effective pastoral care, increased shared responsibility and coordinated pastoral governance, mission and collaboration.

They will promote more effective pastoral care, increased shared responsibility and coordinated evangelising initiatives across the diocese.

Each Pastoral Area shall be entrusted to a Pastoral Area coordinator who will assist in fostering communion, coordinating pastoral initiatives, supporting clergy and lay ministries and ensuring the implementation of diocesan pastoral priorities.

Our parish is included in the Pastoral Area of St. Mary’s - Drogheda, Holy Family - Drogheda, Laytown-Mornington, Donore, and ourselves, Stamullen-Julianstown.

As part of this process, we have been asked to advise numbers attending Mass each weekend. Therefore, we will be counting at all masses in our two churches over the next two/three weekends. Members of our Parish Pastoral Council, together with some volunteers will be at the doors counting as you enter the church. The totals will be included in a Survey and brought to the next Pastoral Area meeting.

The Good News - Lenten Bulletin for Children

This week’s Bulletin for Children is availalbe to pick up from the steps of the Sanctuary at the Altar.

Children are invited to bring these Good News sheets home and bring them back next Sunday to place in front of the Altar.
