Trócaire

Let us put into practice our call to do good to all and take time to love the poor and the needy, those abandoned and rejected, those discriminated against and marginalised” Pope Francis.

Far from the media spotlight this Lent, families like Thankdekile’s in Zimbabwe are going days without eating, grieving with no one noticing, and their futures hang in the balance.

The message of your Trócaire boxes this Lent is that the chance at a better tomorrow shouldn’t be lost because of forgotten crises from Covid to poverty to climate change that are taking a terrible toll on families worldwide.

Please, if you are able, return your Trócaire box on/after Sunday, 24th April (for security, please bring boxes during mass times only) and let your love be a lifeline.  Or donate on www.trocaire.org or by calling 1800408408.  Thank you for the light you bring.

First Holy Communion Preparations

Congratulations to the boys and girls who have enrolled for First Holy Communion last weekend.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the teachers in our parish schools for their work in helping to pass on the faith to these children.

Please remember these children and their families in your prayers.

Directives from the Diocese of Meath

for Celebration of Funeral & Wedding Masses

In our Parish, according to Diocesan guidelines, Eulogies are not part of the Funeral Mass; an option for a eulogy to take place is in the Funeral Home or in the Cemetery, after the burial.

In celebrations of the Eucharist, Readings at the Mass must be taken from the Bible (Lectionary).

Our church is a Sacred space with the Blessed Sacrament and sacred Music/Hymns only are permitted during the celebration of the Eucharist, be it at a funeral or wedding Mass.

Collection for Ukrainian Refugees

Due to the fabulous kindness of so many people, we now have enough toys and furniture for all our guests.

A huge thank you to all the boys and girls for their massive kindness in sharing their toys.

In the same fashion we have had a huge response with second-hand clothes.

We are now not able to accept any more furniture, toys or second-hand clothing.

We are still gratefully accepting: nappies, new clothing, toiletries, new towels, baby formula.

Massive thanks to all in our parish community for your on-going generosity.

Please contact the parish office for more information.
