Parish Sacramental Preparations

Confirmation:

Confirmation Ceremonies will take place in St. Mary’s Church on Wednesday, 9th February 2022.

We are awaiting information from Bishop’s Office regarding times of Ceremonies.

In preparation for Confirmation, mindful of current COVID numbers and following discussions with the children, it was decided that a Ceremony of Light/Enrollment will be held in the coming week.  Children will also be offered the opportunity for Confession.

These ceremonies will be held in the School.

All arrangements are constantly reviewed in lieu with Government guidelines.

First Holy Communion:

First Communion Ceremonies will take place in St. Mary’s Church, Julianstown.

Children from Whitecross School are invited to attend on Saturday, 30th April and children from St. Patrick’s School are invited to attend on Saturday, 7th May.

First Communion Registration Forms will be handed out during this coming week.

We would like to remind you that all Ceremonies will be subject to Government guidelines and are subject to change.

We would ask you to keep an eye on the parish bulletin.

Message from Bishop’s Office

For a Synodal Church: Communion, Participation, Mission.  The Synodal Pathway in the Diocese of Meath

All the baptised in the Diocese of Meath are invited to participate in the synodal process during Lent 2022.  Opportunities to engage in the process locally will be announced in February.

Enlightened by the Word of God and united in prayer, we will be able to discern the processes to seek God’s will and pursue the pathways to which God calls us – towards deeper communion, fuller participation, and greater openness to fulfilling our mission in the world. (Vademecum 1.2)

Promoting Health and Safety

  • Everyone should wear a facemask while in the Church.
  • We would also like to ask that you keep your facemask on as you come for Communion, removing it only after you have received in the hand.
  • We would also encourage you to spread out through the Church.
