State Exams 2021

We remember all our young parishioners who are sitting their Leaving Certificate exams at the moment.

A prayer to the Holy Spirit on their behalf would be appreciated.

Ceremonies in the Parish

First Communion

First Communion ceremonies will take place in the parish in the Autumn (subject to Government guidelines)

The Ceremony for Children from Whitecross will take place on Saturday, 16^th October and for children from St. Patrick’s NS on Saturday, 9^th October.

Confirmation

Confirmation Ceremonies in the parish will take place on Friday, 20^th August.  We are waiting for more information from the Bishop’s office regarding times of Ceremonies.

All of these dates will be subject to Government guidelines and restrictions and are subject to change.

Baptism

This weekend we welcome in Baptism Lily Colgan, Millie Connolly Darby, Blaze Eden Kavanagh and Danny Moore.

May newly baptised children always know and love Jesus as their friend.

We ask parishioners to pray for these children and their families.

Mass Intentions

If you wish to book a Mass, please contact the parish office in plenty of time.  Normally three families’ intentions are accepted for weekend Masses.  However, we have to be mindful of numbers in the Church so we might have to limit the number of Intentions at a particular mass.

Please remember Funeral Masses, when they occur, will replace the Mass of the Day.

On Sundays, Funerals will take place at the usual Mass times.

Only one Mass Intention can be taken for 10 am weekday masses.

COVID-19 Support Line for Older People

ALONE manage a national support line and additional supports for older people.  Professional staff are available to answer queries and give advice and reassurance where necessary.

The support line is open seven days a week, 8am – 8pm, by calling 0818 222024.

Stamullen Community Alert

The Community Alert Committee are looking after applications for the SAS (Senior Alert Scheme) Grant.  This Senior Alert Scheme is open to all citizens over the age of 65 once they meet the following criteria:  Living alone; Living with another person also over 65; Living alone for significant periods of time during the day.

The grant covers the installation of the alarm, pendant and the first twelve months monitoring costs once there is a landline in the house.  (If there is no landline, we can install a GSM device which uses a mobile signal.  There is an additional cost with this device, in order to keep it in credit and the rental of the global SIM card).

When the Application is approved the group will arrange the installation of the alarm at a time that suits you.  We would aim to have all alarms installed within 10 working days from date of approval.  For further information, please contact Charlotte O’Leary on 086-3728773 Or e-mail stamullenca@gmail.com.
