This weekend we welcome children from our parish who are preparing for
First Holy Communion in April and May.
We wish every blessing on these children and their families and all children preparing for Sacraments in our parish.
Parish Sacramental Preparation
First Communion Ceremonies will take place at 11 am in St. Mary’s Church, Julianstown:
On Saturday, 30th April Children from Whitecross School will be invited to attend.
On Saturday, 7th May children from St. Patrick’s School will be invited to attend.
We would like to remind you that all Ceremonies will be subject to Government guidelines and are subject to change.

Lectio Divina
A short course to introduce the way of lectio divina being offered by Rev Professor Seamus O’Connell from St. Patrick’s Pontifical University, Maynooth, over the weeks of Lent through the Aspal online platform. For more information and to register online, visit www.aspal.ie
Parish Maintenance Update
Painting in St. Mary’s Church, Julianstown has been completed, including the two entrance doors, the emergency Exit door, the two sacristies and the toilets.
New doors for the gable end of the church are being manufactured locally at present and the old doors will be replaced very soon.
In St. Patrick’s Church Stamullen a new outside light has been installed (thanks Jim!) and the kneelers have been repaired.
These jobs are possible due to your generosity and as you are aware, we have a lot more to do!
Adoration
- All welcome to pray for one hour in St. Patrick’s Church Stamullen on Thursdays after Mass.
- Adoration continues before Mass on Wednesday mornings in St. Mary’s Church Julianstown.

Lismullen Heritage Series
The Lismullen Heritage Series recommences after the pandamic lockdowns with these two lectures in the Conference Centre, situationed at the foot of the Hill of Tara, continuing exploration of local and national heritage. We look forward to welcoming everyone back.
On Tuesday, 22nd February at 8 pm join us for ‘Creating New Icons of Irish Saints’ lecture given by Colette Clarne and on Tuesday, 5th April at 8 pm join us for ‘An tAthair Eoghan O Gramhnaigh: His Final Journey’ – lecture by Tracey Ni Mhaoinaigh. Admission: € 5.

Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2022
Volunteers needed: Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann will be taking place in Mullingar from Sunday, 31st July to Sunday 7th August 2022 and we are looking for volunteers to help.
This will be the biggest event ever to come to Mullingar and we will need the help of approximately 1,200 volunteers over the course of the event. The minimum commitment is four hours and there is a role to suit everyone.
