Your prayers are requested for the repose of the soul of Marie Wiley, Lisdornan, whose funeral took place during the week.  We remember the bereaved in our prayers.

 

Mass Intentions

  • Please remember Funeral Masses, when they occur, will replace the Mass of the day.
  • On Sunday, Funerals will take place at the usual Mass times.  Funerals therefore willtake place at 10 am in Stamullen and 11:30 am in Julianstown (on a Sunday).
  • If  you wish to book a Mass please contact the parish office in plenty of time as only three families’ intentions are accepted for each weekend Mass.
  • One Mass Intention can be taken for 10 am weekday Masses.

 

Mission Sunday

Mission Sunday collection will be taken up at all Masses this weekend.

 

List of the Dead

List of the Dead envelopes are available beside the Newsletters and from the Parish Office.  They are also available in the yearly box of envelopes.  Please be sure to submit your list before the end of November.  You can leave envelopes in the box provided in both churches during Mass times only or drop into the Parish office.

Ceremonies in the Parish:  Baptism

This weekend we welcome in Baptism: Éanna Leonard, Nicolas Marvan and Adam O’Toole.  May these newly baptised children always know and love Jesus as their friend. We ask parishioners to pray for these children and their families.

 

Parish Annual Memorial Service

The 6th Annual Parish Remembrance Mass will take place on Saturday, 19th November at 7 pm in St. Mary’s Church, Julianstown.

Families of those whose funerals have taken place in the parish since last November are invited to attend.  A letter of invitation will be posted soon.

Parishioners who have relatives or friends who have passed to their eternal reward during the year are also very welcome to attend.

 

First Communion Preparations – DTIM

  • Children from Whitecross School will enroll for First Holy Communion at 7 pm on Saturday, 12thNovember in St. Mary’s Church, Julianstown.
  • Children from St. Patrick’s School will enroll on Saturday, 26thNovember at 7 pm in St. Mary’s, Julianstown also.
  • Further dates for DTIM Masses will be announced in future Newsletters.

 

Newsletter

There will be no Newsletter on the weekend of Sunday, 6th November.  Sunday, 30th October will be a double week.  If you like to book a Mass  for the first weeks of November and would like it to be included in the 30th October Newsletter, please contact the Parish Office.

 

Parish Fund Raising Bingo

We are holding our next Bingo Night on Wednesday, 23rd November at 8 pm in the City North Hotel.  The Prize Fund on the night is €5,000.  Looking forward to seeing everyone again for what is always a great fun night.

 

Adoration

Holy Hour of Adoration takes place through the day in Julianstown on Wednesday from 9 am and continues after 10 am Mass and on Thursday after 10 am Mass in Stamullen.  All welcome, just come along….

 

The True Light Prayer Group

Our Prayer Meeting takes place on Tuesdays from 8 – 9.30pm in the Parish Center, Stamullen. Join us for prayer, praise and scripture.   We welcome all who have a desire to seek God in His word and in prayer.

The Golden Girls

We are planning a trip to Powerscourt on 26th  October and a race night on 11th November in Dundalk. All trips are open to guests outside of our group.  For further information please contact Rose at 086-8377033.

 

Stamullen Road Club – Fund Raising for 2017

On Friday, 25th November we will be holding our annual Poker Classic in Whyte’s, Stamullen and this will be followed up on Saturday, 17th December with Monster Christmas Draw, again in Whytes.

Once again we would like to ask Clubs to take note of our fund raising dates to avoid any clashes.

 

St.  Patrick’s Club – Lotto

Drawn on 18/10/2016. No winner. Numbers drawn: 4,12,16,24. Weekly Winners: Martin Arnold, Johnny McQuillan, Maree Fox, Ann Dunne, Maureen Byrne . Next Week’s Jackpot: €2,100. Next Crossbar draw:  October 25th €1,000.

Young at Heart Christmas Party

The Young at Heart Christmas Party will take place this year on Friday, 9th December in Whyte’s of Stamullen.  If you would like to come along please contact Kathleen on 086-3702869.  Cost: €15, which includes dinner and entertainment by Matt Leavy and a surprise on the night ….  All welcome for what is always a great night of fun ….

 

Stamullen Tidy Towns – Fund Raising

The Annual Tidy Towns Fund Raising Table Quiz will take place on Friday, 11th November at 8:30 pm in Whytes’s of Stamullen… more details next week.

Don’t forget – Weekly village tidy takes place every Saturday. Join us at Stamullen Church at 11am.

 

Gormanston Beach Clean-up

Please note the next off season, once a month clean up will take place on Saturday 5th November. (Running until June 2017).

Meet at 10 am at Delvin River Viaduct.  Clean up generally runs from the Delvin River’s Bremore Beach to Ben Head cliffs.  All equipment supplied in co-operation with Meath County Council.

 

Hope for Homeless H4H

Hope for Homeless (H4H) are a local volunteer group who run a soup kitchen at the GPO in Dublin every Monday night.

We are always appealing for donations of socks and underwear (new please) for both male and female, We also accept second hand clothing and footwear for adults, donations of shower gel, shampoo, shaving foam, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, sweet snacks, chocolate, crisps, fizzy minerals, water, pot noodles, cuppa soups, tents, back packs and rain wear, hats, gloves, scarfs.Donations (toiletries & Food items) can be dropped into Angela in the Physio and Sports Clinic and donations of warm clothing and footwear can be dropped into Emma in Launderland, Stamullen.

This Christmas we are appealing for donations of back packs, (empty or filled).  We hope to be able  to give all our homeless friends a gift of a backpack containing some of the above.  We also have an account set up with Shane Curran Butchers in the Village and you can drop into him and donate any amount small or large.  Shane will give you a receipt and we will use the account to buy turkeys and hams.  We will be providing Christmas dinners on the run up to Christmas.

Cruisetown Cemetery Conservation Committee

The Annual Mass is on Friday 4th  November in St John the Baptist Church, Nobber at 8pm. The AGM will take place immediately after the Mass in Nobber Community Hall.
