Parish house & Office – Contact

We would like to inform parishioners that due to the storm last Wednesday, we are currently without phone or e-mail in the parish house and office.

We have contacted Eir and hopefully the service will be back soon.  We apologise for any inconvenience.

Ceremonies in the Parish 2019

 

Confirmation Ceremonies will take place in the parish on Wednesday, 20th March 2019 at 11 am for St. Patrick’s NS and at 3 pm for Whitecross NS.

 

Ceremonies of Light will take place on Thursday, 7th February at 7 pm for St. Patrick’s NS and on Wednesday, 13th February for Whitecross School.

 

First Confessions will take place on Tuesday, 5th February for St. Patrick’s NS and on Tuesday, 12th February for Whitecross School 

 

First Communion Ceremonies will take place on Saturday, 11th May for St. Patrick’s NS and Saturday, 18th May for Whitecross NS.

 

We ask parishioners to pray for these, and all children from our parish, as they prepare for these very important steps in their faith journey.

 

Adoration

  • Adoration of the most Blessed Sacrament hasresumed in Stamullen after 10 am Mass.  If you wish to to add your name to our present list please contact Teresa on 087-6757581 or Sheila on 086-058580.
  • Adoration has returned to Julianstown on Wednesdays from 9 am and continues after 10 am Mass.

 

Stamullen Choir

Stamullen Choir is looking for new members.  If you would like to join why not come along to Rehearsal night any Monday from 8 – 9.15 pm.

 

Children’s Liturgy Julianstown

Children’s liturgy returns to St. Patrick’s Church, Stamullen every Sunday during 10 am Mass.

Children will take home a Consent Form this week.  We would appreciate if parents/guardians could complete same and return next week.

  • Children’s Liturgy in Stamullen and Julianstown would appreciate more help!  Ifyou are interested in helping out or finding out more, please contact the parish office or feel free to pop into the Liturgy gathering any Sunday morning.

 

EMHA Coffee Morning

Join EMHA (East Meath Hospice Association) as we take part in Ireland’s Biggest Coffee Morning on Thursday, 20th September from 10 am to 12pm in Whyte’s of Stamullen, or the Lime Kiln, Julianstown.  Generous Raffle on the day.  Committee members will be available to answer any questions you might have.

All funds raised on the day will be used locally, to provide services and assistance.

 

Rosary on the Coast for Life and Faith, Ireland

Following the passing of the referendum removing the protection for unborn babies in Ireland we ask you to come and pray the Rosary on the Coasts of Ireland on October 7th, 2018 for the protection of unborn babies & for the strengthening of the Catholic Faith here. Sign up to a location in Ireland.

Accord Drogheda

Drogheda Accord are running a one day wellness course on Saturday, 20th October from 10am – 4pm.

It is a gentle course exploring mindful methods to enhance wellness. It is run by two experienced facilitators. It is suitable for any adult who wishes to improve  their outlook on life. It is not a therapy group.

Stamullen Road Club

With the cycling season now almost at an end the Lads are all looking forward to a break but in saying this, quite a number of club members are heading into the cyclo-cross season for the winter month’s.

I have been missing Gaybo (RIP) for every reason imaginable but with the fundraising season on the horizon, I have decided to give the promotion of the annual Christmas Poker a go this year.  Proposed date will be Friday, 30th November in Whyte’s and at this early stage, I would ask if our regular Poker players would think about supporting this event. Thanks, Kay.

Fixtures: Saturday: Dromara Hill Climb Challenge at Dromara, Co. Down  Saturday: The Red Hand Trophy at Ballymena.  Saturday: Lucan GP at Dunsany at 10:30 am.

  1. Feis Cup Round 1 takes place onSunday, 16th September at 12 pm at GAA Grounds Stamullen. St. Patrick’s v Moynalvey.
  2. St Patrick’s Underage Section are Hosting a Kids Disco on Saturday, 15thSeptember at the GAA Complex from 7-9pm for ages 7 to 12 years.  Entry fee €
  3. Under 15 Hurling League on Monday,17th September at GAA Grounds Stamullen at 7pm. St. Patrick’s/’St. Colmcille’s v O’ Mahony’s.
  4. Under 13 Girls Football  League also on Monday,17th September at15pm at GAA Grounds Stamullen. St. Patrick’s v St. Colmcille’s.
  5. Junior Hurling Championship takesplace on Tuesday, 18th September at 8pm in Ashbourne. St. Patrick’s v Wolfe Tones.
  6. Join us for Social Dancing inSt. Patrick’s on Friday, 28th  September from 9pm. Music on the night by Unity.  Adm: €10 to include light refreshments.

Colaiste na hInse – Information Night

Enrolment for the Academic Year 2019-2020:  Oiche Eolais (Information Night) for parents of 5th & 6th year students in the catchment area will take place in Colaiste na hInse on Thursday, 27th September at 6pm.

 

IBTS (Irish Blood Transfusion Service)

The opportunity to give blood will arise at Duleek Boys National School, Duleek on Monday, 17th September from 5-8:30 pm.

It is important that we remember that many patients in hospitals need our blood, and this need never ceases.

 

Irish Symphonic Wind Orchestra

The Irish Symphonic Wind Orchestra will perform in the TLT on Sunday, 16th September at 7:30 pm  in aid of two Drogheda charities: The Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre and ABACAS Special School for Children with Autism.  Tickets: €20.  (Please see notice boards for more information).

 

Learn to Jive

Jiving Lessons starting this Wednesday, 12th September in Glenside Hotel, Drogheda. Beginners at 7:30pm, Improvers at 8:45pm. Great exercise and no partner required.
