VOCATIONS SUNDAY

Jesus is still calling priests, he needs you to say yes to his call. Be a priest and find joy, bring people to God and let Jesus work through you. “If you feel called to be a priest, open your heart to Jesus, follow the Lord and do not be afraid. First Holy Communion Ceremonies

Huge congratulations to the boys and girls from the parish who attend Whitecross School who made their First Holy Communion this weekend.

We wish these children and their families every blessing.

 

The boys and girls from the parish who attend St. Patrick’s Scholl will make their First Holy Communion in St. Mary’s Church next Saturday, 7th May at 11 am.

 

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the parents, and the teachers in our parish schools for their work in helping to pass on the faith to these children.

 

Please continue to keep these children and their families in your prayers.

Ceremonies in the Parish:  Baptisms

Last weekend we welcomed in Baptism: Amy Maxwell and Ginikachi Kosidyne Dike & Malachi Mwila Matafwali.

May newly baptised children always know and love Jesus as their friend.  We ask parishioners to pray for these children and their families

Please contact the Parish Office if you wish to have your child baptised.

 

First Friday Calls

First Friday calls will take place next Thursday and Friday, 5th and 6th May.

If anyone would like Fr. Brendan to call, please contact the Parish office.

Eucharistic Adoration

  • All welcome to pray for one hour in St. Patrick’s Church on Thursdays after Mass.
  • Adoration continues before Mass on Wednesday mornings in St. Mary’s Church.

Blessing of Graves in Moorechurch Cemetery will take place at 11:30 am on Sunday 3rd July.  Please alert others outside the parish.

Meath Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes

Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes will take place from 12th to 17th September 2022 led by Bishop Deenihan.  Booking forms available from Joe Walsh Tours, 69, O’Connell St, Dublin 1.  Tel: 01-2410800.  The pilgrimage this year will be for Hotel Pilgrims only.

 

Stamullen Tidy Towns – Help required!

Stamullen Tidy Towns is resuming operations after a quiet period!  We are looking for able bodied volunteers and any youth to assist us in any way possible.

We meet every Saturday at 11 am and every Wednesday evening at 7 pm, at the church.

We’re having some technical difficulty with our Facebook page at the moment, which we hope to have sorted out shortly.  In the meantime, anyone that wishes to help can contact us on on 087-2712651 or any member of the Tidy Towns.

We would like to acknowledge the great help of Glenveagh Homes in providing the road sweeper to clean up both sides of Silverstream Road.  This gives us a head start on work here (thanks Mattie).  Thanks to everyone for your continued support.

 

Annual May Day Procession

The Annual May Day Procession in honour of Our Lady and St. Joseph The Worker will take place on Sunday, 1st May 2022.

We will assemble at the Lourdes Church, Drogheda at 6:45 pm processing via Bohar Brugha, Georges Street, West Street, to arrive at St. Peter’s Church, West Street for Mass at 7:30 pm.  All welcome.
