Stamullen Road Club

Last weekend proved to be a most successful one for the club when they promoted the John Reilly Memorial on Saturday at Balscadden and then the Stamullen GP races on Sunday.  None of this would have happened without the assistance of a team of 75 personnel who worked right throughout the entire weekend. Our club could not promote races without the help of these people and we send our sincere thanks to each and every one.  This year we were given permission by St. Patrick’s GAA club to hold the sign-on, dressing accommodation and car parking at their magnificent premises and for this we were very grateful. All of the cyclists and the Cycling Ireland officials in attendance remarked on the co-operation given by St. Patrick’s GAA and the suitability of the venue proved to be a winner.

There was a great win for the club in the Senior A4 race, when 19 year old Sean Landers scorched home to a terrific victory much to the delight of all present.

Once again, we thank all of our great sponsors who have stood by us for decades.

This weekend the club riders will be competing in the Tour of the North 3-day, 4-stage international event, based in Ballymena, Co. Antrim.

New National Children’s Hospital

A golden opportunity to do the best for the children of Ireland.

This opportunity is being allowed to slip away by the blind persistence of a Government determined to locate the New National Children’s Hospital on a seriously constrained St James’s Hospital Campus. Only a few weeks remain for the people of Ireland to open the Government’s eyes to this impending disaster. Connolly for Kids Hospital(C4KH) believe the James Connolly Memorial Hospital, 145 acre site at Blanchardstown would provide easier access for all Ireland, expansion space, parkland, extensive parking, co-location with adult and crucially the new Rotunda Maternity Hospital preventing avoidable death and disability in newborn babies. It will be cheaper and faster to build also. Please speak up now for our children and future generations. You can do this by contacting and demanding support from your local public representatives(see www.gov.ie). For further information please visit:
