Stamullen Cemetery

Despite very inclement weather a huge crowd turned out for the annual blessing of the graves on St. Patrick’s Day.  All the graves were well adorned with flowers and looked beautiful.  The ceremony was performed by Fr. Declan Kelly PP, assisted by Fr. Phil Smith, retired PP of Ballymore, Co. Westmeath whose family is interred in the cemetery.

The cemetery committee would like to thank everyone who helped out on the day and during the year.

Special thanks to Peter Kavanagh and Sean Sutton who organised the public address system.  Thanks also to Willy Curtis, Pat Ryan, Ray Gough, Scupps and Margaret Whyte and Carol in the parish office.  Also, Brendan Matthews who looks after the vault in the church ruins.

A sincere thanks to everyone for kind donations for the up-keep of the cemetery.  The large amount donated shows the appreciation by the public for the work being carried out.

The Annual Mass will take place in June.  More details later.
