Fifteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time - 12th July 2026

Sunday 12 July 2026

Published 13 July 2026

R. I. P.

Your prayers are requested for the repose of the souls of John Flynn, cherished friend and employee of Pat and Mary Clarke of Clarkes Fruit farm and

Kay McCarthy, mother of Gerry our beautiful musician and singer at our Vigil Mass.

We remember the Bereaved in our Prayers

Summer Prayer

Thank You, Creator, for the warmth of the sun and the long, gentle days. Slow my restless heart, let me find joy in your creation, and fill my soul with your peace. Guide my steps in both work and rest, and keep my loved ones safe in all our summer travels. Amen.

Moorechurch Mass and Cemetery Devotions

Thank you to all who attended Mass for the Blessing of Graves in Moorechurch Cemetery last Sunday.

We hope you agree it was a very special celebration where we remembered and prayed for our deceased loved ones.

We would like to thank all who helped on the day and all who were involved in the preparation of the cemetery and surrounding area for our annual devotions.

Thanks to everybody who made our celebration of our Mass so special; Gerry and Mary, our singer and musician; Clare and Colm our Ministers of the Word; our ten Ministers of the Eucharist and their umbrella holders and Bridie, who co-ordinates them. We also thank our sacristans, Josephine and Johnny.

Thanks also to Pat and Mary Clarke and the staff of Clarkes for providing the Lorry, and the lovely stairs which provided ease of access for all.

We would also like to acknowledge and thank Philip and Lorraine McCormack for supplying the power for the sound system and Paudge for the great job on the fabulous sound as always.

We thank all who facilitated the parking in the fields adjoining the cemetery; Christy & Rena, Denis & Myra for providing their fields for car parking and all who supervised parking. Thanks also to the team who collected at the gates on the day.

The numbers attending our Cemetery devotions have increased substantially which is putting pressure on finding parking.

Providing parking is a courtesy extended by the Moorechurch Cemetery committee and the Parish, but they do facilitate it with the help of the neighbours, and do a fantastic job.

The parking that is provided, is thanks to the generosity of the neighbours making their fields available.

We would like to thank the Gardai from Laytown for facilitating the smooth departure from the cemetery. This is very much appreciated.

We wish to acknowledge and express our thanks for the fantastic work of the Moorechurch cemetery committee. The improvement each year is noticeable to all.

The Moorechurch Committee would like to thank Meath Co. Council for their ongoing support, Brendan Collins for his fantastic job on keeping the grass and hedges cut etc., in the Cemetery. Kevin Collier and John and Jack Brangan for their fabulous work and ongoing support.

The Committee again encourage all not to dump anything in the ditches or surrounding areas. Please bring all your waste home and use your recycle bins.

Finally, a special note of thanks to all who visit the Cemeteries in our parish, for the care and attention given to the graves of their loved ones.

May God bless you all.
