Lectio Divina

Lectio Divina evenings continue on Wednesdays during Advent in the Parish Room/Office Preston Hill. Parishioners are invited to come along to discern and pray the Gospel for the following Sunday.

We would like to congratulate Belinda Fox & Stephen Sweetman who were married in Julianstown recently.  We wish them every blessing for the future.

Alpha Course

Preparations are underway for our first Alpha Course starting in the parish on Wednesday January 6th and running each Wednesday up to Easter – venue: Whyte’s Pub, Stamullen.  Colin Whelan will speak at all masses next weekend.  For more information check http://ireland.alpha.org or if you have any questions you can contact Colin on 0879484216.

Safeguarding Children – Note for Parents / Guardians

Children will receive Consent Forms at Children’s Liturgy over the next week or two.  Parents/guardians are asked to complete same and return the following week.  Many thanks.

Youth 2000 Christmas Retreat

Stamullen Art Group – Christmas Fair

Stamullen Art Group are holding a Christmas Fair in the Parish Centre, Stamullen this weekend. Pop in on Saturday from 3-7 pm or Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm.

St. Vincent DePaul

The local conference of St. Vincent dePaul will hold their annual collection at all Masses next weekend 5t/6th December. We are very grateful for your support.  Dunne’s Centra, Stamullen have a collection point in store for the donationof food items for the Parish Conference. All donations willb e distributed to families in need locally.

Giving Tree

We are accepting gifts for the ‘Giving Tree’ again this year. Please take a Tag from the tree/box, attach to an unwrapped gift and leave on the Altar/under the tree – during Mass times only. All gifts will be distributed locally. Thank you.

St. Patricks NS

Parents Association Mince Pie Morning
The Parents Association from St. Patrick’s NS are hosting a Mince Pie morning on Wednesday 16th December from 10am – 12.30 pm in Whyte’s Pub. Come along and enjoy a cuppa and a mince pie and support them. Christmas draw will be held with tickets available to buy on the morning.

Do you have any Spare Hot Water Bottles??

A young parishioner is collecting Hot Water Bottles for distribution at night to homeless people. Parishioners are invited to leave unwanted Hot Water Bottles in the box at the back door in Julianstown and in the foyer at the side of Stamullen Church.

Tickets are now widely available for our Monster Christmas Draw which will take place on Saturday, 19th December. Prizes: €1,000 cash and eleven other fantastic prizes. Tickets only €2 each or book of 3 for €5. Support for this Draw would be most welcome as this is a major fundraiser for the 2016 cycle racing season.

Gormanston Community Beach Clean-up for the ‘Off-Season’, is on the 1st Saturday of the Month only, up to April 2016 inclusive.

Children’s Liturgy Stamullen
