Parish Memorial Mass

“We are all walking each other home…”

Thank you to everyone who joined us last Saturday for our Parish Memorial Mass. It truly was a moving and deeply spiritual celebration.

We are especially grateful to all who took part on the night our beautiful singer Mary and her accompanist Gerry, our Readers, Eucharistic Ministers, and all who prepared the church and assisted throughout the Mass.

Of course, our sincere thanks to our parishioners, along with their families and friends, whose presence helped create a spirit of peace and love.

Together, we continue to support one another as we remember our loved ones who have gone before us.

R. I. P.

Your prayers are requested for the repose of the soul of Peggy Ferris (Aunt of Fr. Brendan) whose Funeral took place during the week.

Please remember all bereaved families in your prayers.

Dept of Education School Survey

As you know, the Department of Education is currently conducting a survey of parents and prospective parents of pupils in Primary schools as to the type of education they want for their children. The Catholic patrons are very clear that we want you to participate in this particular survey. It is very important that all voices are heard. There are those who wish to have a school of a different patronage. There are those who wish to have a catholic school for their child. It is important that all voices are heard so that proper provision can be provided. I am committed to Catholic education. I am committed to a sacramental education and I am committed to teaching children about Jesus in the School. That model does not necessarily suit everybody. We respect that, but please vote and make sure that your consideration, your views, are part of the discussion. Otherwise, planning for the future becomes very difficult.
