R. I. P.

Your prayers are requested for the repose of the souls of Mary Dunphy, late of Stedalt, Stamullen whose funeral takes place in the UK and Maureen Dennis whose funeral takes place in St. Patrick’s Church at 10 am on Monday.v

Please remember all bereaved families in your prayers.

Prayer for our young parishioners sitting exams

Lord, pour out your Spirit of Wisdom on all sitting exams,
help them to remain calm,

to attend carefully to the questions asked,
to think clearly, to remember accurately,
and to express themselves well.
Grant that they may reflect

on the best of the work they have done
and the best of the teaching they have received.
Accept their best efforts in these examinations

and in the great test of life on earth.
May your love be upon them, O Lord,
as they place all their trust in you.

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

This Project was our last big project for our Parish for this year.

  • In St. Patrick’s Church, the upgrade of the heating system will take place in the coming weeks.

All the work carried out in our Parish this year is made possible through your generous donations and support.

Thank you and God bless you.

CHY (Charity tax back scheme)

Our Parish is eligible for the Government Charity ‘Tax Refund’ (CHY) Scheme.

This Scheme is available to Charities who wish to claim back the tax on donations of any individual who contributes/donates €250 or over to a Charity. (Our Parish is a registered Charity).

Donations from our Parishioners are eligible for this scheme, and it means the Parish can claim at least 20% of the original donation back.

Parishioners who have made a donation or who contribute by weekly envelope or Standing Order, where the total annual contribution is over €250, will shortly receive a Claim Form.

Letters to Parishioners who contributed over €250 will be posted out on Monday.

If you do not receive a Letter with your Certificate and think you should, or if your information is incorrect, or indeed if you have any questions or queries, please contact Carol in our Parish Office immediately. (01-8412647)

When you receive your Certificate, please complete it, sign it, include your PPS number and return. You can either pop it in the Box beside the Newsletters or return to our Parish Office.

Please Note: This process is totally confidential, we forward the claim and Revenue reply with a Statement showing the total amount which will be returned to our Parish. We are not advised regarding any one person or if an individual was not eligible for whatever reason, this information is never advised.

We have included a CHY3 (Enduring Certificate) which covers application for refund of tax for five years and a CHY4 (Annual Certificate). You can choose whichever certificate you are happy to complete.

Whichever Certificate you chose to return is entirely personal (you can choose CHY3 or CHY4). If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Carol.

When all Certificates are returned, we will submit the claim to Revenue.

As you are aware we have undertaken big projects in our Parish this year. Your support in the CHY charity tax scheme will be very much appreciated to offset the costs incurred in St. Mary’s and St. Patrick’s Churches.

Thank you again for your support which is very much appreciated.
