This weekend we welcome in Baptism: Chloe Darcy, Fionn O’Kelly, Fionn McDonnell and Samira Prior. May these newly baptised children always know and love Jesus as their friend.
We ask parishioners to pray for these children and their families.
Adoration
Adoration resumes in Julianstown on Wednesday, 14th September and on Thursday 15th September after 10 am Mass in Stamullen. All welcome, just come along….
Children’s Liturgy
As the Childrens’ Liturgy groups return after the Summer break we invite all children to come along on a Sunday morning at 10 am in Stamullen or 11:30 am in Julianstown to take part in this very special celebration of the Liturgy designed specifically with young children in mind.
Julianstown
The Children’s Liturgy Group in Julianstown welcome parents who are interested in helping out on an odd Sunday .. Please contact a member of the Liturgy group or the Parish office.
Stamullen
We are inviting parents who would like to act as leaders or ‘helpers’ (handing out work sheets etc.) at children’s liturgy on Sunday mornings during 10 am Mass. If you would like to help please contact Colin at 087-9484216, any member of the Children’s Liturgy team or the parish office.
Stamullen Choir
“Do you like to sing?” Stamullen Choir would welcome new members: adults and teenagers. We sing at 10 am. Mass on Sundays and we rehearse on Monday nights from 8 – 9.15 pm.
Please join us in St. Patrick’s Church on Sunday 4th or Monday 5th September when we resume after Summer recess.
The True Light Prayer Group
Our Prayer Meeting resumes on Tuesday, 13th September from 8pm – 9.30pm in the Parish Centre, Stamullen. Join us for prayer, praise and scripture. We welcome all who have a desire to seek God in His word and in prayer.
EMHA Coffee Morning extra Venue …..
Join East Meath Hospice Association for their Annual coffee morning this Thursday, 15th September. This year we will have two venues join us in The Lime Kiln, Julianstown from 9 am to 12 pm and/or Whytes, Stamullen from 10 am to 12.30 pm. Generous Raffle on the day. All funds raised locally are spent locally.
Stamullen Cemetery
Stamullen Cemetery Committee are unveiling and blessing a plaque to commemorate the 1916 Easter Rising and all those volunteers who died during the War of Independence.
This ceremony will take place on Friday 16th September at 5 pm. A colour party from the Irish Army will start proceedings by parading from the Church to the cemetery led by a piper. Colm Clarkin, a member of the cemetery commitee, will be MC on the day. The Proclamation will be read by parishioner and retired Army Officer, Lieut Colonel Jim Mortell. Local historian Brendan Matthews will talk about the rising and the War of Independence and their effects on the locality. The Army will raise the flag and play the last post. The plaque will be unveiled by Mark Mooney, who is the son of the late Sgt Patrick Mooney who died tragically on a life saving mission in Waterford. Patrick is buried in Stamullen Cemetery. The plaque will be blessed by Fr. Declan Kelly P.P. The ceremony will conclude with the National Anthem. Refreshments afterwards in Whyte’s. All welcome.
The Golden Girls
The Golden Girls areplanning a trip down Wicklow way to visit the beautiful Mount Usher gardens in all their autumnal splendor, on 21st September. All trips out are open to guests outside of our group. For more information please contact Rose on: 086 8377033.
Stamullen Tidy Towns
If you have an hour or two to spare (on any day) and would like to help out with Tidy Towns please contact any member of the committee and we will set up a rota for people who can provide occasional help.
Weekly village tidy takes place every Saturday. Meet at Stamullen Church at 11.

St. Oliver’s School Reunion – Class of ‘96
A reunion marking the 20th anniversary of the class of ’96 leaving St. Oliver’s Community College is being organised for Saturday, 15th October 2016 in the Westcourt Hotel in Drogheda at 8pm. Louth water safety – Lifesaving Classes
Louth Water Safety will hold lifesaving classes in Aura Pool, Drogheda for old and new pupils on Tuesday 13th September at 7 pm and on Thursday 29th September also at 7 pm. Ages from 12 upwards. Anam Cara, the national organisation that supports bereaved parents, is holding a Bereavement Information Evening on Wednesday 21st September from 7:30 to 9:30 pm in B.A.S.E, Brackenstown Road, Swords, Co. Dublin. The guest speaker for the evening is Peter Hanlon. This is a free event open to all bereaved parents.
