Sacraments in the Parish:  Baptism

This weekend we welcome in Baptism: Amirah Campbell.

May all newly baptised children always know and love Jesus as their friend.   We ask parishioners to pray for these children and their family.

 

Mass Intentions

If you wish to book a Mass, please contact the parish office in plenty of time as only three families’ intentions are accepted for each weekend Mass.  (With the exception of a Month’s Mind Mass, when a fourth family can be added if necessary).

Please remember Funeral Masses, when they occur, will replace the Mass of the day.

On Sunday, Funerals will take place at the usual Mass times.  Funerals therefore will take place at 10 am in Stamullen and 11:30 am in Julianstown (on a Sunday).

Only one Mass Intention can be taken for 10 am weekday Masses.

 

First Friday Calls

Fr. Declan brings the Eucharist to the sick and housebound on the first Friday of the month.

If you know of any parishioner who would welcome a visit by Fr. Declan, or if you know of anyone in hospital who would appreciate a visit, please contact the parish office.

  • The next First Friday calls will take place on Friday, 7th February.

 

Fund Raising Committee: Ten Week Draw

The Annual ten week draw will commence on Sunday, 9th February after 10 am Mass in Stamullen.

Promoters can collect Draw cards from Thursday, 16th January in the Parish Office.

 

St. Paul’s Missals 2020

We have a limited number of Missals left for sale from both sacristies.  The cost of the Missal is €7 again this year.

 

Preparation for School Ceremonies in the Parish

Whitecross School:

The next DTIM Mass will take place on Saturday, 25th January at 7 pm.

Further DTIM Masses will take place on Saturdays, 29th February, 28th March at 7 pm and Sunday, 14th June at 11:30 am.

First Confessions will take place at 7 pm on Wednesday, 12th February.

Ceremony of Light will take place at 7 pm on Thursday, 13th February.

 

St. Patrick’s NS

The date for the next DTIM Masses will be available next week.

First Confessions will take place in St. Mary’s church, Julianstown at 7 pm on Tuesday, 4th February.

Ceremony of Light will take place in St. Patrick’s Church, Stamullen, at 7 pm on Thursday, 6th February.

 

Adoration Stamullen

Adoration has resumed in Stamullen after 10 am Mass every Thursday until 5 pm.  Please contact Teresa on 087-6757581 or Sheila on 086-058580.

Adoration in Julianstown: Wednesdays from 9 am and finishing at 6 pm. Please contact Josephine on 086-8148722.

 

The Golden Girls

The Golden Girls will resume their meetings on Monday, 13th January at 11am in the Parish Centre, Stamullen.

New members always welcome, so why not come along and join us any Monday from 11am to 1pm for tea/coffee and good company. All very welcome.  Happy New Year to all.

 

 

Stamullen Road Club

The Christmas Draw was a resounding success and it would not have been possible without the generous help of so many people, from ticket sellers to the business people for using their premises for sales outlets and most especially to those who helped on the night of the draw. The winner of the €500 cash was Deirdre Coyle from Curraha, 2nd Terry White c/o Stamullen RC, 3rd Seamus McGuinness, Lusk, 4th James Doyle, 5th Ciara Dunne, Forgehill, Stamullen, 6th Grace Gorman, c/o Stamullen RC, 7th Shane Curran, Broadleas, Stamullen, 8th Christy White c/o Sean Kiely, 9th Josh Faulkner, Dunleer, 10th  Margaret Whyte, Stamullen, 11th Miriam O’Connor, c/o Peter Brady and 12th Rosa Vickers, Stamullen. We thank the entire community for the support.

This coming Sunday, CI Cyclocross National Championships will be held at Enniscrone, Co. Sligo and a new innovation will be a live streaming of the event by TG4 with 1-hour highlights package to be shown in the coming weeks.

Stamullen cyclists Peter Sharkey, his daughter Aoibhinn Sharkey and Helen White will be all competing in their respective championships and we wish them well.

Community Safety & Drug Awareness talk

Councillor Sharon Keogan is hosting a talk in St. Patrick’s GFC, Stamullen, at 8 pm on Wednesday, 15th January. Speakers will include An Garda Siochana, drug addiction counsellors and mental health advocates. This will be very informative and helpful to young and old alike.

 

CAO Information Morning @ DkIT

DkIT will hold a CAO Information morning on Saturday, 18th January between 10am and 1pm.  Welcome talks will be held at 10 and 11am and 12 noon.

Friends of Autism and ADHD talk

Give your pre-teens and teens the gift of confidence – A talk by Caoimhe O’Grady Tegart will take place on Tuesday, 28th January from 7:30-9:30 pm in the Bracken Court Hotel, Balbriggan.   This talk is aimed at parents of children 10 years and over.  Main focus is on practical tips & tools that will allow you to boost your teen’s confidence.  Some of the content may act as a reminder to do things you’ve heard before but haven’t been practicing or may be completely new and allow you to tune into your child better. The discussion will be based on Caoimhe’s experience over the past 7 years coaching many hundreds of children on the topic of confidence.

Gormanston Beach Clean Up

The next Clean-up of Gormanston Beach will take place at 10 am at Delvin River Viaduct on Saturday, 1st February.

Clean up generally runs from the Delvin River’s Bremore Beach to Ben Head cliffs.   All equipment supplied in co-operation with Meath County Council.
