Mass and Blessing of Graves

• The Annual cemetery Mass will take place in Stamullen Cemetery on Friday, 24thMore details below.

• Mass and Blessing of Graves in Moorechurch Cemetery will take place on Sunday, 3rdJuly at 11:30 am.

If you have a spare hour or two over the next few weeks to help tidy the cemetery in preparation for the Mass on 3rd July it would be very much appreciated.

Visitors attending to graves are asked to remove any grass, stones etc., from the cemetery.  The council will only take flowers/wreaths from the bin. 

Please do not leave grass etc., in the ditches surrounding the Cemetery.

• Mass and Blessing of Graves in Kilsharvan Cemetery will take place on Friday, 8thJuly at 7:30 pm.

Please alert those outside the parish to these dates.

Stamullen Cemetery

The Annual Mass and Blessing of Graves will take place in Stamullen Cemetery next Friday, 24th June at 7:30 pm.  The Committee look forward to seeing you there, and the plots in their usual pristine condition.  We are hosting light refreshments afterwards in Whyte’s Lounge.  Everyone is invited.

Meath Lourdes Hospitality Group Annual Collection

• The Meath Lourdes Hospitality group have been granted a permit for Church Gate collections this Saturday, 18thand Sunday 19th  Collections will take place at Stamullen and Julianstown Churches.

• Led by Bishop Michael, the Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes will take place from 12th-17th To book on the Hospital Pilgrim Section please contact Lily Brangan on 087-6978783.
• If parishioners know of anyone who would benefit from a trip to Our Lady’s Shrine but who might find the cost difficult at this time, please contact Lily Brangan on 087-6978783.

True Light Prayer Group

The True Light Prayer Group is taking a break for Summer.  We will resume meetings in September.

Stamullen Defibrillator – Fund Raising

Sean O’Donovan with 50 members of Atomic Fitness, Stamullen are taking part in the ‘Hell and Back’ challenge in Kilruddery on 25th June to raise funds for a Defibrillator in Stamullen Village…  Parishioners are invited to sponsor the team.  If you wish to you can leave a donation in the box provided in Stamullen Church or pop donation into Atomic Fitness above the Chinese. All donations very much appreciated for this important facility in our village.

Coole Church 175th Anniversary

This year marks the 175th Anniversary of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Coole.

A number of events have already been held to mark the occasion, but the main event of the year takes place between Sunday 26th June and Saturday 2nd July.  The programme themes for the week are as follows: Sunday 26th  June at 11 am: Baptism, Monday, 27th at 7:30 pm: Reconciliation (Cardinal Seán Brady and visiting priests), Tuesday, 28th at 7:30 pm Mass of the Holy Spirit (Theme Confirmation), Wednesday, 29th at 7:30 pm: Eucharist, Thursday, 30th at 7:30 pm: Orders (Preisthood), Friday 1st July at 7:30 pm: Marriage (John & Jennifer Kenoe) and Saturday 2nd  July:  Anointing of the Sick.  All are welcome to join the parish community and witness to a great and valuable legacy handed on to us by past generations in the Faith – a legacy that goes back more than 175 years to Saint Patrick himself.  May we honour that legacy and hand it on intact to future generations – a vibrant, living faith that will transform our lives and our world.

Stamullen Tidy Towns Sponsored Walk

Join Stamulen Tidy Towns Annual 10K Sponsored Walk along the Meath coastline next Sunday, 26th June.  Transport to the beach will be provided with refreshments afterwards.  Tickets €10 for an individual €20 per family from Committee members and Whyte’s Pub, Stamullen.

Julianstown Tidy Towns – Help Needed!!

Julianstown Tidy Towns is once again starting its annual work to improve the general appearance and community amenities within the village.

This year we have prioritised the important area of bees and pollination and plan to upgrade many of our existing planting areas by incorporating bee friendly pollinator planting. This initiative we are calling “Bee Friendly in Julianstown” and we will work with the local school and wider community to highlight the importance of the native bee population of Ireland.

In addition to this project, we will be continuing the work on our community woodland with the installation of a poets corner and walk; this will highlight the beautiful woodland poetry that was completed last year by the children at Whitecross school and will also commemorate our local renowned poet Thomas O`Brien from Sarsfieldstown, Julianstown.

In the meantime, Judging for the Tidy Towns has started and we need a little help. Is there an area you think needs a tidy? There is  lots to do such as  cutting back overhanging brambles, clearing pavements of weeds, Strimiming, and of course weeding the beds. We are out on Saturday, Tuesday and Thursday mornings, and an extra hand works wonders.   If you don’t want to join committee that’s fine – any help is always appreciated!

3. Under 8 and Under 10 Football Blitz on Saturday, 25thJune at GAA Stamullen at 10am.
4. Under 7’s Summer Break Blitz Day commencing at1pm at GAA Grounds, Stamullen.
5. Date for the Diary: Social Dancing is back at St. Patrick;s GAA Club on Friday,24th June.  Dancing 9-12pm. Music by Brian Mc Dermott.  Adm: €10 including light refreshments.

Briarleas Street Party

Meet your Neighbours and have some fun …..!   The Briarleas Street Party is drawing closer and lots of help is needed to make the day a success.  The date for the party is 25th June and if anyone could spare an hour or two to help with the set-up or even man the tea table for half an hour this would be greatly appreciated.   A Free BBQ & Raffle will be held on the day.   Please pass the word onto to Ex-residents of the Mosney Road.  Looking forward to seeing you all there.   Please contact 0863811420 if you can give half an hour on the day.

Julianstown Baby & Toddler Group Summer Party

Julianstown Baby & Toddler group are holidng a summer party on Wednesday, 22nd June from 9.30 am – 12 pm. There will be a bouncy castle on the day (inside) and lots of goodies (There might even be an Ice cream van!)  Please pass the word to anybody with small preschool kids who would like to come.
