Your prayers are requested for the repose of the soul of Pat Beakey, Cooperhill, whose funeral took place in Drogheda during the week and Tony McCullen whose funeral took place in Julianstown this weekend.  We remember the bereaved in our prayers.

 

Newsletter & Parish Office

Please note next weekend’s Newsletter will cover two weeks: 26th November and 3rd December.  If you wish to book Masses for these weeks which you would like to have included in the Newsletter please contact the parish office during this week.

The parish office will be closed for the week beginning Monday, 27th November.

 

First Communion Preparation

Do This In Memory (DTIM) Enrollment Masses will take place at 7 pm in St. Mary’s Church, Julianstown next Saturday 25th November (Whitecross School) and on Saturday, 2nd December (St. Patrick’s School).

We ask you to pray for all our young parishioners as they prepare for these important steps in their faith journey.

 

CHY Certificates – Charity Relief for the Parish

Thanks to all who have returned their CHY Forms recently. Please leave completed Forms in the Boxes provided in both churches (during Mass times only please).

We thank all parishioners for their continued support which is very much appreciated.

 

List of the Dead

List of the Dead envelopes (with sheets included inside) are available beside the newsletters and from the Parish Office.  They are also available in the yearly box of envelopes.

Please be sure to submit your list before the end of November. You can leave envelopes in the box provided in both churches during Mass times only please, or drop into the Parish Office.

 

Fund Raising Committee – Bingo Night

The next Bingo Night takes place in the City North Hotel on Wednesday, 6th December.  Looking forward to seeing you there.

Christmas Day Mass cards are available to purchase from the Sacristy and parish office.  The cards are €2.

Vocation Retreat Dayfor Young Adults

A retreat day for young adults (18-40) will take place in Dalgan Park, Navan on Saturday, 2nd December  from 9:30 am – 5pm. The day will revolve around conversation and reflection on the Priesthood, Married Life, Religious Life and Single Life and include Prayer of the Church, Eucharistic Adoration, discernment talks, testimonies, an opportunity for confession and the celebration of Mass. World Meeting of Families 2018

1400 volunteers have now registered with WMOF2018! Thousands more volunteers are needed. Why not consider joining us as a volunteer if you have not already done so?  You can volunteer as an individual or as a group.  The benefits of volunteering as a group include: sharing the volunteering experience with your friends/colleagues, being in the same venue and at the same times, the possibility of travelling together, etc.  In this way, the volunteering experience of World Meeting of Families 2018, lives on well after the event is over.
To volunteer as a group, all you need to do is choose a group name and your group leader’s name; and enter this on your online application. Everyone within that group needs to enter the same group name when they are filling in their Volunteer Online application form.

 

 

Rosary on the Coasts for Life and Faith

Vincent dePaul Annual Collection

The Annual St. Vincent DePaul collection will take place on the weekend of Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd December.

 

St. Vincent De Paul – Giving Trees

We are planning to have the Giving Trees in both churches this Christmas again. (If anyone is upgrading their Christmas Tree and has a large tree in good condition which they would like to donate to Stamullen Church please contact the Parish Office).

 

Adoration

  • Adoration takes place in Stamullen every Thursdayfollowing 10am Mass and in Julianstown from 9 am and after 10 am Mass every Wednesday.If you would like to spend an hour with Jesus please contact Josephine (086-8148722) or Teresa (087-6757581).  All very welcome.

 

Healing Service

Paul Barfett will hold a Healing Service in St. Patrick’s Parish Centre on Saturday, 25th November from 7pm.  All those seeking any element of healing whether physical, emotional, mental or spiritual are welcome to come and receive from Jesus Christ who paid the price for our healing on the cross.   Paul will first reveal the word of God concerning healing then pray for individuals’ healing.

 

Julianstown Community Centre Christmas Fair

Julianstown CC is hosting a Christmas Fair on Sunday, 19th November in the Community Centre from 12:30 pm.

 

Stamullen Road Club

We send our congratulations to club member Helen White who finished a magnificent 3rd in the Ulster Cycle Cross event in Larne, Co. Antrim last weekend. We also want to say, continued progress wished for our injured cyclists, Gary Gorman, Mick Nulty and Craig Sweetman.  It’s been a very tough time for these riders and not forgetting Colin Robinson who has made it back to the training stage.

We look forward to seeing all of our loyal supporters at our Christmas Poker Classic on Friday 1st December in Whyte’s and will also welcome all support for our major findraiser, Monster Bumper Christmas Draw on Friday night 22nd December.  After the draw we will be holding the annual Auction in support of Parish Funds. If anyone wishes to donate anything (new) for this fundraiser, please make contact with any club member or Brendan Battersby in Whytes Bar/Restaurant. Full details in next week’s Newsletter.

 

St. Patrick’s GF & HC – Club News

  1. Under 15 League Final Div. 2 on Sunday next the 26thNovember at 11am in Dunganny.  St. Patrick’s v Summerhill.
  2. Social Dancing returns to St. Patrick’s GAA Centre on Friday, 24thNovember at 9pm.  Music on the night by Unity.  Adm €10 euro to include light refreshments.  Last dance of 2017…..

Ardee-Collon Parish presents Mary Duff Christmas Concert with special guests Matt Leavy and Ruth Kelly Brady in the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady, Ardee on Thursday 21st December at 8 pm. Navan Theatre Group
