Fund Raising Committee – Bingo Night

We look forward to seeing you all at the Bingo Night in the City North Hotel on Wednesday, 6th December from 8 pm.

 

Raffle

We will be holding a Raffle on the night and we would appreciate any donations towards same.  Donations can be festive themed, or not, and can be left in the parish office.

Your prayers are requested for the repose of the soul of Tom Wiseman whose funeral took place in Julianstown during the week and Anne Marie O’Rourke whose funeral will take place in Julianstown on Monday.  We remember the bereaved in our prayers.

 

Feast of the Immaculate Conception

Mass on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception will take place at 10 am in Julianstown and 11 am in Stamullen.

 

Newsletter & Parish Office

Please note this Newsletter will cover two weeks: 26th November and 3rd December. The parish office will be closed for the week beginning Monday, 27th November and will re-open on Monday 4th December.

 

First Communion Preparation

We welcome the children from second class in Whitecross School who are enrolling for First Communion.

Do This In Memory (DTIM) Enrollment Mass for St. Patrick’s NS will take place in St. Mary’s Church, Julianstown on Saturday, 2nd December

We ask you to pray for all our young parishioners as they prepare for these important steps in their faith journey.

 

Ceremonies in the Parish:  Baptism

This weekend we welcome in Baptism: Aoife Clarkin and Oliver Sobiech.   May these newly baptised children always know and love Jesus as their friend. We ask parishioners to pray for these children and their families.

Please be sure to submit your list before the end of November. You can leave envelopes in the box provided in both churches during Mass times only please, or drop into the Parish Office.

Christmas Day Mass cards are available to purchase from the Sacristy and parish office.  The cards are €2.

Carols at the Giving Tree St. Marys’ Julianstown

Julianstown Choir will be having Christmas Carols from 6.30 pm on Saturday 23rd December in St. Mary’s Church Julianstown.

Everyone welcome to come along for Carols old and new. All singers and musicians especially welcome! Donations may be left at the Giving Tree for distribution within the locality by the Society of St Vincent DePaul.

 

Rosary on the Coasts for Life and Faith

St. Vincent De Paul – Giving Trees

We are planning to have the Giving Trees in both churches this Christmas again. (If anyone is upgrading their Christmas Tree and has a large tree in good condition which they would like to donate to Stamullen Church please contact the Parish Office).

 

 

Vincent dePaul Annual Collection

The Annual St. Vincent DePaul collection will take place next weekend: Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd December.

 

Adoration

  • Adoration takes place in Stamullen every Thursdayfollowing 10am Mass and in Julianstown from 9 am and after 10 am Mass every Wednesday.If you would like to spend an hour with Jesus please contact Josephine (086-8148722) or Teresa (087-6757581).  All very welcome.

 

Healing Service

All welcome to join Paul Barfett who is hosting a Healing Service in St. Patrick’s Parish Centre on Saturday, 25th November from 7pm.

 

Stamullen Playground & Stamullen Community Alert

A public Meeting by Stamullen Needs a Playground and Stamullen Community Alert is taking place in St. Patrick’s GAA Centre, Stamullen on Thursday, 30th November at 8 pm.  The committees will provide updates onprogress so far and illustrate what options are feasible going forward for the playground inthe locality.  Speakers include local concillors and McGarrell Reilly/City North Hotel.  There will also be an update on the current Development plans for the old GAA grounds from developers McGarrell Reilly Group.  Members of the public are strongly urged to attend.  Refreshments will be served.

 

Stamullen Tidy Towns

All are welcome to join us in Stamullen Village to sing Christmas Carols and songs and meet Santa who is coming along to see us switch on the lights on the Tree and christmas display on Sunday, 10th December at 5 pm.

 

Stamullen Road Club

We look forward to seeing all of our loyal supporters at our Christmas Poker Classic on Friday 1st December in Whyte’s. Tickets €25, are selling really well.

Also, tickets are now available for Monster Christmas Draw which will take place on Friday, 22nd December which the club jointly promotes with Whyte’s Bar/Restaurant.  Tickets are widely available at €2 each or a Book of 3 for €5.  Selling outlets will be listed in the next Newsletter issued.  Don’t forget that the first prize in this draw will be €1,000.00 cash, followed by eleven more brilliant prizes.  The small Auction in aid of Parish funds will be held immediately after the big draw.  All new items will be gladly accepted for this Auction and just to let it be know, 100% of the proceeds from this Auction will be handed over on the night.

Gormanston Beach Clean-up

All welcome to join us for our next, once a month clean up, which will take place next Saturday 2nd December.  Meet at Delvin River Viaduct at 10 am.  Clean up generally runs from the Delvin River’s Bremore Beach to Ben Head cliffs.  All equipment supplied in co-operation with Meath County Council.

 

Ardee-Collon Parish Christmas Concert

Ardee-Collon Parish presents Mary Duff Christmas Concert with special guests Matt Leavy and Ruth Kelly Brady in the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady, Ardee on Thursday 21st December at 8 pm. Navan Theatre Group

Navan Theatre Group presents Stags and Hens by Willy Russell, directed by Des Lynch.  A night of hilarious comedy is guaranteed in Solstice Arts Centre, Navan.  From 22nd to  25th  November at 8pm.  Tickets available directly from Solstice  €15 on opening night and all other nights €18.  Group rates available.
