Your prayers are requested for the repose of the soul of Una Smyth, Delvin Road whose funeral took place during the week and Nuala Hughes (nee Black), late of Bellewstown, whose funeral took place in England during the week.  We remember the bereaved in our prayers.

Fund Raising – Ten Week Draw

The Annual Parish Fund Raising Ten Week Draw should commence next Sunday, 28th January but in order to give promoters more time to contact their contributors we will hold the first draw on Sunday, 3rd February and finish with a double draw on Easter Sunday.

 

We invite all the promoters to collect their Draw cards which are available  in the Sacristy this weekend or in the Parish Office during the week.  Sincere Thanks to all our loyal promoters and to all who support this draw every year.

 

If you would like to be included in the ten week draw, please contact a promoter or the parish office.

 

Pro Life

We would like to welcome is Jackie Weldon from the Pro-Life organisation who is speaking at all masses in the parish this weekend.

 

D.T.I.M. (Do This in Memory)

Children preparing for First Communion in St. Patrick’s and Whitecross National Schools will attend masses in Stamullen (6pm) and Julianstown (7 pm) next Saturday, 27th January.

Children attending schools outside the parish who are also preparing for First Communion are very welcome to attend.

We ask parishioners to pray for these children as they continue to prepare for this special occasion.

 

First Friday Calls

First Friday calls will resume 2nd February 2018.

If parishioners know of anyone who would like to be included on the list of first Friday calls, or someone in hospital who would appreciate a visit by Fr. Declan, please contact the parish office.

 

Adoration in Stamullen

If you would like to spend some time in quiet prayer with the Lord, please join us for one hour, in Julianstown from 9 am and after 10 am Mass on Wednesday and in Stamullen after 10 am Mass on Thursday.

 

Health and Safety

While the risk of Flu remains high we feel it is important that we are pro-active as a parish.  As a result the sign of peace will be suspended as directed from the altar.  We will review this decision in a few weeks.

 

St. Pauls Missals

A limited number of St. Paul’s Missals are available in the Sacristy and from the parish office.  The price for each Missal is €7 again this year.

 

Mass Intentions

  • Please remember Funeral Masses, when they occur, will replace the Mass of the day.
  • On Sunday, Funerals will take place at the usual Mass times.  Funerals therefore willtake place at 10 am in Stamullen and 11:30 am in Julianstown (on a Sunday).
  • If  you wish to book a Mass please contact the parish office in plenty of time as only three families’ intentions are accepted for each weekend Mass.
  • One Mass Intention can be taken for 10 am weekday Masses.

 

True Light Prayer Group

The True Light Prayer group will resume meetings on Tuesday, 23rd January from 8 – 9:30 pm in the Parish Centre, Stamullen.  Come just as you are and share in God’s word through praise and scripture.  All very welcome.

 

Stamullen tidy Towns

Join us and help us improve our village … we meet every Saturday at Stamullen Church at 11am.

 

Meals on Wheels AGM

The AGM of Stamullen & Julianstown Meals on Wheels will take place at 8 pm in the Glenside hotel this Wednesday, 24th January.  All very welcome to attend.

 

Stamullen Road Club

Before finally wrapping up our Christmas club activities, we would very much like to thank all of the people who sponsored prizes for the Parish Auction.  Without the assistance of such generous people, this Auction could not take place, so thanks again to all of the following:

City North Hotel, Laytown & Bettystown Golf Club, Spec Savers (Balbriggan), Tayto Park, Fairyhouse Racecourse, plus gratitude is also extended to a number of residents who donated beautiful Gifts, Toys and a Hamper.

Diary 2018:  Stamullen GP/John Reilly Memorial dates for next year will be on the weekend of the 7th and 8th April 2018.

St. Patrick’s GF & HC – Club News

  1. The Annual General Meeting of St. Patrick’s GAA Club takes place on Monday, 22ndJanuary at 8pm at the GAA Complex.  All welcome to attend.
  2. The Annual General Meeting of St. Patrick’s Underage Sectiontakes place on Friday, 26th January at 7pm at the GAA Complex.  All welcome to attend.
  3. Social Dancing returns to St. Patrick’s on Friday, 26thJanuary from 9 to 12 pm.  Music on the night by John & Terry.   Adm €10 to include light refreshments.

Stamullen Bowls

The Golden Girls

Join us for a cuppa and chat every Monday morning in the Parish Centre, Stamullen from 10 am to 1 pm.

 

Dance Classes: Jive
