Ordination notice:  Prayer on Friday, 31st August 

Parishioners are asked to keep Bishop-elect Tom Deenihan in your prayers as he prepares for his ordination as Bishop of Meath on Sunday, 2nd September.

A Holy Hour and guided prayer for the new Bishop, and for the Diocese of Meath will take place in the Cathedral on Friday, 31st August from 7.30pm until 8.30pm, led by Bishop Smith. During the liturgy, the new Bishop’s crozier, mitre and ring will be blessed. All are welcome to join us for this prayer.

Adoration

  • There will be no Adoration in Julianstown for the next few weeks.   We will alert Adorers to the date when Adoration is returning in future newsletters.
  • Adoration of the most Blessed Sacrament  resumes in Stamullen on Thursday 13thSeptember following 10 am Mass.  If you wish to to add your name to our present list please contact Teresa on 087-6757581 or Sheila on 086-058580.

 

Visit of Relics to Mosney

The Relics of Saints Louis & Zélie Martin and Saint Thérèse of Lisieux will visit Mosney as part of the Celebrations for the World Meeting of Families on Thursday 30th   August from 11am to 1pm. The Relics will be present at St. Patrick’s Church, Mosney. Parking facilities will be available on the day. All Welcome

 

Divine Mercy Conference

Divine Mercy Conference, Ardboyne Hotel, Navan, Co. Meath, from 2 pm to 5:30 pm on Saturday, 8th September.  Guest speaker: Professor William Thomas

Join us to Celebrate Heritage Week in Julianstown Village Garden this Sunday 26th August from 2 to 5 pm.  Willow Creative Workshop with Newgrange Willow Design.  Talk on Julianstown’s Colourful History by local Historian Brendan Matthews.  B.B.Q. and Light Refreshments. All Welcome!

 

Catholic Grandparents Association

Annual National Grandparents Pilgrimage to Knock Shrine will take place on Sunday, 9th September at 2.30pm. Everybody welcome to honour & thank Grandparents alive & dead for all they have done for us. Chief Celebrant Archbishop Jude Thaddeus Okolo, Apostolic Nuncio.  Combined Choirs of Knock Parish, The Tuttle Family and  Dana will sing ‘Our Lady of Knock’.

 

Young Adults Retreat – Invitation

Retreat  on Sat 8th September from 9:45 am to 5pm in Franciscan Sisters Centre Ballinderry, Mullingar will host a retreat for young adults 18 – 40 yrs on Saturday, 8th September.  Come along and explore how God is calling you: marriage, priesthood,  single life, religious life?

Talk on discernment, testimonies, Holy Mass, Adoration, Prayer, personal discernment if desired, confessions, meet and chat.

VMM International Celebrates 50 Years of Lay Mission

VMM would like to reconnect with returned volunteers who participated on our projects in Africa, Asia and Latin America throughout the years and invite you to our Gathering and Gala Dinner celebrations in Dublin on September, 1st. Gormanston Beach Clean-up – Saturday

Please note the clean up of Gormanston Beach will change to Saturdays for Autumn.  So why not join us at 10 am at Delvin River Viaduct on Saturday, 1st September.

Clean up generally runs from the Delvin River’s Bremore Beach to Ben Head cliffs.  All equipment supplied in co-operation with Meath County Council.

Days of Recollection

Join us in Cobh for days of recollection with the Servant of God, Mother Marie Adele Garnier (1838-1924), Foundress of the Adorers of the Sacred Heart of Jesus of Montmartre, OSB, through her writings.  Themes:  Saturday 25th August: Faithfulness and Saturday 29th September: Spiritual Combat.  Hosted in St. Benedict’s Priory, The Mount, Cobh, Co.Cork.  Commencing at 9am with Holy Mass and Adoration.   1st talk at 11 am.
