Ash Wednesday
Mass and Blessing of Ashes will take place in St. Mary’s Church, Julianstown at 10 am and Mass and distribution of ashes will take place in St. Patrick’s Church, Stamullen at 7 pm on Ash Wednesday, 1st March.

Ceremonies in the Parish: Baptism
This weekend we welcome in Baptism: Clara Bradley, Liam Calvey, Eugenie Dylan, Sadie O’Connor and Blake Seaver. May these newly baptised children always know and love Jesus as their friend. We ask parishioners to pray for these children and their families.
Annual Ten Week Draw
The second draw took place last Sunday after 10 am Mass on Sunday. The draw will finish on Easter Sunday, 16th April. All welcome to pop in.

Parish Pilgrimage
I am considering the possibility of organising a Parish Pilgrimage to Rome & Assisi this Summer, if we have sufficient numbers.
I would hope to travel in mid June (subject to change).
At this stage, to get an idea of numbers involved, parishioners are invited to contact the Parish office to register their interest. (Registering your interest will not imply commitment).
First Communion preparation
Do This In Memory (DTIM) Masses for children preparing for First Communion will take place on next Saturday, 4th March at 6 pm in Stamullen (St. Patrick’s NS) and 7pm in Julianstown (Whitecross NS).
Adoration
All welcome to spend some time in silent prayer before the Blessed Sacrament any Thursday in Stamullen from 10am to 5pm and through the day in Julianstown on Wednesday from 9 am and continuing after 10 am Mass.
East Meath Hospice Pancake Morning 2017
The annual East Meath Hospice Fund Raising Pancake Morning will take place on Tuesday, 26th February in the City North Hotel from 10 am – 12:30 pm.
Come along for Pancakes, tea & Coffee and browse through the many stalls including, Arts and Crafts, Handbags, Clothes, Shoes and some local produce. We will also have a raffle on the day. Admission €5. Committee members will be on hand if you wish to learn about the work of EMHA. Looking forward to meeting friends, old and new. Thank you for your continued support.
The True Light Prayer Group
If you who have a desire to seek God in His word and in prayer why not come along to our Prayer Meeting on Tuesdays from 8-9.30pm in the Parish Centre, Stamullen. Join us for prayer, praise and scripture. All welcome, bring a friend.
Stamullen Road Club
This weekend opens the cycle racing season in Leinster and on Sunday Navan Road Club will host the Cycleways Cup races for all senior categories. The sign-on and dressing accommodation will be at Simonstowns GAA H/Q. Racing start time: 12:30 and races will be contested over laps of the Kilberry, Gormalough, Woodtown, Wilkinstown circuit with all races finishing at Wilkinstown National School.
Some of the club riders have entered for the John Haldane Memorial race at Newry, which starts on Sunday morning at 10am.
As this is the start of the new season, we wish all club riders safe and enjoyable racing.
Diocesan Notes
A retreat for women, organised by the Legion of Mary and preached by Fr. Eamonn O’Driscoll OFM, will take place Saturday 4th March in the Parish Centre, Trim from 10am – 5pm. Theme: “If only you knew the gift of God.” Cost: €10 also includes refreshments and light lunch. For booking contact Keith Kavanagh on 086-8899123.
Light the Fire 2017
Join the Franciscan Sisters of the Renewal, Drogheda on St. Patrick’s Day for a special event, on the Hill of Slane (Co. Meath) to pray together on the very spot where St. Patrick lit the Easter Fire. It begins at 5pm on 17th March, with Mass at 5.30pm celebrated by Bishop Michael Smith, followed by Eucharistic Adoration. This is an outdoor event; please dress for the cold weather. Gormanston Beach Clean-up
Please note the next once a month clean up will take place on Saturday 4th March. (Running until June 2017).
Meet at 10 am at Delvin River Viaduct. Clean up generally runs from the Delvin River’s Bremore Beach to Ben Head cliffs. All equipment supplied in co-operation with Meath County Council.

Cybersafety
Skerries Community College PA have invited Mr. Pat Mc Kenna to talk to parents about Cybersafety in the school on Wednesday 1st March, Pat works with Childwatch.ie and is an amazing speaker in the area of Cybersafety / Cyberbullying. This is such an important topic for every family. Tickets tickets are €5 each and are available from Skerries Book Shop and the School office.
