Catholic Schools Week
Sunday, 26th January, marks the beginning of Catholic Schools Week 2020.
During this week we aim to celebrate the unique contribution that Catholic schools, both primary and post-primary, make to the mission of the Church in our local faith communities and throughout the wider church. This year’s theme is ‘Catholic Schools: Living in Harmony with God’s Creation’.
Preparation for School Ceremonies in the Parish
We welcome Children from Whitecross and St. Patrick’s schools who are attending Masses this weekend in preparation for their First Communion Ceremonies this year.

Stamullen Choir
If you would like to join Stamullen Choir, why not come along to rehearsal night any Monday from 8-9:15 pm in Stamullen Church. New members are very welcome.
Fund Raising Committee: Ten Week Draw
The Annual ten week draw will commence on Sunday, 9th February after 10 am Mass in Stamullen.
Promoters can collect Draw cards from the Parish Office (Pease contact the Parish Office and we can arrange to get the Card to you if you wish).
Adoration Stamullen
Would you like to spend an hour with the Lord!
- Adoration in Stamullen takes place after 10 am Mass every Thursday until 5 pm. If you would like more information, please contact Teresa on 087-6757581 or Sheila on 086-058580.
- Adoration in Julianstown takes place on Wednesdays from 9 am, finishing at 6 pm. For more information, please contact Josephine on 086-8148722.
Stamullen Tidy Towns January 2020
Now that the Christmas lights and village display are packed up for another year it’s time to say thanks to a number of people:
A big thank you to our small but dedicated band of volunteers who turn up week after week. To Ivan Curran and his team for the Christmas Tree and the ability to reach heights in erecting and taking down the lights. To Martin Clerkin of MC Metal Fabrication for the brand-new star this year. To Brendan and Fran in Whyte’s for their continued support and in particular for the great food and coffee on cold mornings. To all who have supported us in any way we say a big thank you and look forward to your continued support throughout 2020.
The Golden Girls
The Golden Girls meet in the Parish Centre, Stamullen.
New members always welcome, so why not come along and join us any Monday from 11am to 1pm for tea/coffee and good company. All very welcome.
Stamullen Art Group
Stamullen Art Group will host an Exhibition of Paintings in the Water Mills Café, Skerries Mills from Monday, 27th January to Sunday, 9th February from 10 am to 4:30 pm daily. Admission free.
Meals on Wheels
Following the recent AGM of Meals on Wheels, the Committee would like to thank all our volunteer drivers who have delivered over 2,300 meals in the past year. Hot meals are delivered in Julianstown, Shallon, Stamullen, Gormanston and Mullaghteeling areas on Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week.
Without the volunteer drivers we would be unable to provide this service.
We would also like to thank the Chef and Staff of the Glenside Hotel for their continued hard work.
Thank you for all donations received in the past year, which are greatly appreciated, thanks again for this continued support.

Stamullen Road Club
As the cyclo-cross season is coming to an end, we have to congratulate all of our cyclists who have been competing in the parks and fields over the past six months with some brilliant results, especially Under 14 Aoibhinn Sharkey and Toby Sweetman, not to forget our senior competitor, Helen White who won the silver medal in the Ladies Masters All-Ireland CX championship.
The 2020 Yearbook is going to print in the coming weeks with the opening race of the season on Saturday 7th March with the Mick Lally Memorial, promoted by Dublin Wheelers CC.
Sunday, 8th March – Seamus Kennedy Memorial, promoted by Navan Road Club with the sign-on at Simonstown GAA grounds. There will be separate races for all senior categories here.

Gormanston Beach Clean Up
The next Clean-up of Gormanston Beach will take place at 10 am at Delvin River Viaduct on Saturday, 1st February.
Clean up generally runs from the Delvin River’s Bremore Beach to Ben Head cliffs. All equipment supplied in co-operation with Meath County Council
IBTS
The opportunity to give blood will arise at St. Patrick’s GFC, Stamullen on Thursday, 13th February from 4:30 – 8 pm.
It is important that we remember that many patients in hospitals need our blood and this need never ceases.
