R.I.P.
Your prayers are requested for the repose of the soul of Brigid Dunne whose funeral took place in the parish this week.
We remember the bereaved in our prayers.
First Friday Calls
First Friday calls will take place on Friday, 8th October.
If you know of anyone who would appreciate a visit from Fr. Brendan, please contact the parish office.
Baptisms
This weekend we welcome in Baptism: Bonnie Arnold, Emily Howard and Liam Walsh.
May newly baptised children always know and love Jesus as their friend. We ask parishioners to pray for these children and their families
Please contact the Parish Office if you wish to have your child baptised.
Parish Sacramental Preparation
We continue to prepare for our First Holy Communion ceremonies which will take place here in the parish on Saturdays, 9th and 16th October.
Thanks to all for the fantastic attendance at or Preparation Masses during the week which was spiritually nourishing.
There will be no preparation Mass this coming week, but we will return the following week with Penitential service for the children and their parents and families. All are invited to attend.
Families are encouraged to attend weekend Masses over the next few weeks, as Government guidelines now allow bigger attendance in Churches.
For the safety of all:
- All adults must wear facemasks while in the Church for all Masses/Liturgies.
- Sanitisers are available at the entrance to both churches.
The celebration of Mass is our opportunity to nourish ourselves with the love of God and also in the love of our fellow parishioners and our parish community. It is a life-giving experience.
Confirmation & First Communion 2022
Confirmation and First Communion Preparation for 2022 will begin shortly.
Parents/guardians who are interested in joining a steering committee to help organise the preparation Masses for these sacraments are asked to contact the Parish Office.

Day for Life 2021
This year’s Day for Life will be celebrated in Ireland on Sunday, 3rd October on the theme ‘The Good Samaritan: A Model of Compassion’.
In the context of the recent proposal to introduce assisted suicide, both in Ireland and the UK, this year’s Day for Life message invites Catholics to consider a more positive and compassionate response to the care of people who are in the final stages of life. See www.councilforlife.ie for more.
