Day for Life 2021

Today, Sunday 3rd October, is the Day for Life on the theme ‘The Good Samaritan: A Model of Compassion’.

In the context of the recent proposal to introduce assisted suicide, both in Ireland and the UK, this year’s Day for Life message invites Catholics to consider a more positive and compassionate response to the care of people who are in the final stages of life.  See www.councilforlife.ie for more.

First Friday Calls

First Friday calls will take place on Friday, 8th October.

If you know of anyone who would appreciate a visit from Fr. Brendan, please contact the parish office.

Parish Sacramental Preparation

We continue to prepare for our First Holy Communion ceremonies which will take place here in the parish on Saturdays, 9th and 16th October.

This Wednesday, 6th October, all Children preparing for First Holy Communion, together with their families are welcome to St. Mary’s Church, Julianstown at 7:15 pm for a Penitential service.  On the night we will have a number of priests available to hear Confession.

As we continue to prepare for the First Holy Communion Ceremonies and for the safety of all, we would like to remind you:

  • All adults must wear facemasks while in the Church for all Masses/Liturgies.

  • Sanitisers are available at the entrance to both churches.

The celebration of Mass is our opportunity to nourish ourselves with the love of God and also in the love of our fellow parishioners and our parish community.

It is a life-giving experience.

Confirmation & First Communion 2022

Confirmation and First Communion Preparation for 2022 will begin shortly.

A number of parents have expressed interest in getting involved with organising the Preparation Masses.

Ministers of the Word (Lector) & Eucharist

The service and dedication of Ministers of the Word and Eucharist are important parts of our parish life.

The primary duty of these Ministers is to assist the priest, as a representative of the people of the parish, in a visible manner.

It is a privilege to be in the sanctuary as our Savior, Jesus Christ, becomes truly present, body, blood, soul and divinity, just as He was at the Last Supper and Calvary.

What an honor to serve our Lord at this most praiseworthy gift of love.

We are currently seeking more Ministers in the parish.

If you would like to become a Minister of the Word or Minister of the Eucharist, please contact the Parish Office.

Baptismal Team

It is hoped in the coming weeks to set up a team of people who will help parents prepare for the Baptism of their child.

If this is something you would be interested in, please talk to Fr. Brendan, or contact the Parish Office.

All welcome to pray for one hour in St. Patrick’s Church Stamullen on Thursdays after Mass.
