R.I.P.

Your prayers are requested for the repose of the soul of Mary (Chris) Mulholland (nee Sarsfield), whose funeral took place during the week. We remember the bereaved in our prayers.

 

Ceremonies in the Parish:  Baptism

This weekend we welcome in Baptism: Alice Martin, Sam McLeod and Brooklyn White.

May these newly baptised children always know and love Jesus as their friend. We ask parishioners to pray for these children and their families.

 

 

Annual Mass and Blessing of Graves

  • Mass and Blessing of Graves in Stamullen Cemetery will take place on Friday, 23rdJune at 7:30 pm.
  • Mass and Blessing of graves in Moorechurch Cemetery will take place on Sunday, 2nd July at 11:30 am.
  • Mass and Blessing of Graves in Kilsharvan Cemetery will take place at 7:30 pm on Friday, 14th

Please alert those outside the parish of these dates and times.

 

Adoration

All welcome to spend some time in silent prayer before the Blessed Sacrament through the day in Julianstown on Wednesdays from 9 am and continuing after 10 am Mass and in  Stamullen on Thursdays after 10 am Mass.

Please note: Adoration in Stamullen will take  Summer recess after Thursday, 8th June.

 

The True Light Prayer Group

If you who have a desire to seek God in His word and in prayer why not come along to our Prayer Meeting on Tuesdays from 8-9.30pm in the Parish Centre, Stamullen.

 

Diocese of Meath – Pilgrimage to Lourdes

Led by Most Rev. Michael Smith the pilgrimage will take place from 12th-17th September.  Fare, including return flights, five nights full board, taxes and travel insurance is €699. To book call Pilgrimages Abroad on 01-6359300.  Hospital Pilgrims please call Lily on 087-6978783.

Meath Diocese Pilgrimage to Knock

Meath Diocesan Pilgrimage to Our Lady`s Shrine at Knock takes place on Sunday 13th August and will be led by Bishop Michael Smith and the choir for the Mass is the Meath  Diocesan Choir.

 

World Meeting of Families 2018 – News

Pope Francis has issued a Letter of Convocation inviting the World to join us for World Meeting of Families 2018.

Also, the Volunteer Application Process is now open. Applicants to volunteer must be residents of the island of Ireland at the time of application and be over 18 years of age, as of 1st January 2018 (or as part of a group), among other terms and conditions. Volunteers can also help in the lead up to the event in the main offices of WMOF2018 and in various preparatory events taking place around Ireland.  You can apply to volunteer at www.worldmeeting2018.ie/volunteer.

 

Star of the Sea AC – Tuesday 30th May

Please note there will be some traffic disruption in Stamullen village, Gormanston Road and Cockhill Road this Tuesday, 30th May from 8 to 8.30 pm as Star of the Sea AC are hosting their annual 5k Road Race. There will be plenty of marshals on the route.  We hope to keep disruption to a minimum and apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.

We are looking for volunteers to help marshal the race. Please contact Michelle McKiernan on 086-1722749 or Brian Collins on 086-2505638. It will only be for a short period of time and any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

 

Spanish Classes

Spanish Classes for adults and children will take place this summer in Julianstown Community Centre.  Please contact Rosario on 089-2088790 for more details.

Stamullen Road Club

Next Sunday the final stage of the An Post 8-Day International Race will depart from Ardee at 12pm on it’s 129.4km journey to Skerries. The route will take the riders through Drumcondrath, Nobber, Wilkinstown, Kilberry, Navan, Kentstown, Duleek, Hilltown KOM,(13:20) Bellewstown, where riders will race straight through cross-roads past Bellewstown Inn on left and quickly turn left down Legganhall road, Clinstown Cross (13:30), Naul (13:40), Skerries, Strand Street  (1st Passage) at (14:30) and will then complete (3) Laps of the Black Hills before finishing up in Strand Street at (15:14).

Club rider, Arek Klus has settled well into the Rás, his first time to compete and even though he took a tumble on the opening stage last to Longford on Sunday, he managed to get back into the stage and finished on the same time as the winner.

All of the Rás stages so far this week have been finishing up to 30 mins ahead of schedule.  So, please keep this in mind for Sunday, come to your viewing point at least a half hour earlier than the listed time.

Away from the Rás, last Sunday Cian Delaney recorded a brilliant win in the Senior A1-A2 Emyvale GP. This was Cian’s first victory of the season and a very well deserved one.  Gary Gorman finished 10th in this same race.

 

The Golden Girls

The Golden Girls are hoping to take a trip to Fairyhouse evening race meeting on 1st June & a scenic tour to Carlingford on 26th June.  People outside of the group are always very welcome, for further details contact Rose at 086-8377033.

St. Patrick’s GF & HC – Club News

  1. ‘B’ League Division 1 takesplace on Monday, 29th May at the GAA Grounds Stamullen at 7.45pm.  St. Patrick’s V Summerhill.

 

Gormanston Beach Clean-up

Please note the next once a month clean up will take place next Saturday 3rd June.

Meet at 10 am at Delvin River Viaduct.  Clean up generally runs from the Delvin River’s Bremore Beach to Ben Head cliffs.  All equipment supplied in co-operation with Meath County Council.

 

Stamullen Bowls

Julianstown Parent, Baby and Toddler Group

Free Classes in Digital Skills

Third Age is delivering free Digital Skills classes in your area.  Starting shortly. The free training course is a 10-hour programme over five weeks, two hours per week, 10 participants per course. The programme takes a helpful pace. It covers introduction to the Internet, Internet security and safety, email, search engines and websites, online government services, conducting everyday transactions, online voice and video calls and use of apps. Navan Theatre Group

MAHS
