Annual Mass and Blessing of Graves

  • Mass and Blessing of Graves in Stamullen Cemetery will take place on Friday, 23rdJune at 7:30 pm.
  • Mass and Blessing of graves in Moorechurch Cemetery will take place on Sunday, 2nd July at 11:30 am.
  • Mass and Blessing of Graves in Kilsharvan Cemetery will take place at 7:30 pm on Friday, 14th

Please alert those outside the parish of these dates and times.

 

The True Light Prayer Group

If you who have a desire to seek God in His word and in prayer why not come along to our Prayer Meeting on Tuesdays from 8-9.30pm in the Parish Centre, Stamullen.

 

Diocese of Meath – Pilgrimage to Lourdes

Led by Most Rev. Michael Smith the pilgrimage will take place from 12th-17th September.  Fare, including return flights, five nights full board, taxes and travel insurance is €699. To book call Pilgrimages Abroad on 01-6359300.  Hospital Pilgrims please call Lily on 087-6978783.

Meath Diocese Pilgrimage to Knock

Meath Diocesan Pilgrimage to Our Lady`s Shrine at Knock takes place on Sunday 13th August and will be led by Bishop Michael Smith and the choir for the Mass is the Meath  Diocesan Choir.

 

St. Oliver’s Pilgrim Walk

St. Oliver’s Pilgrim Walk is organised by the Knights of St. Columbanus and involves a pilgrim walk around Drogheda’s seven beautiful churches (3.2Km). It takes place this year on Friday, 26th May and Saturday, 27th May starting at Our Lady of Lourdes Church via, St. Peter’s Church of Ireland, Augustinian Church, St. Mary’s, Holy Family Church, St. Mary Magdalene’s Dominican Church and finishing at St. Peter’s Church where the Shrine of St. Oliver Plunkett and his holy relics are located.  Pilgrims can complete the walk on either day between 10.30 am and 4.30 pm or it can be completed over the two days.

 

Julianstown Parent, Baby and Toddler Group

Join us from 9.30-11.30 am on Wednesday morning in the Julianstown Community centre and/or  on Friday in the Julianstown Parish Rooms on the Laytown Road.  €3 per family.   For further information contact Erica 087-4269077.

 

Stamullen Road Club

On Sunday morning at 9am, 190 competitors (39 Teams) in this years An Post Rás will depart from the City North Hotel and travel in their respective team cars, in convoy to Dublin Castle for the ceremonial start of race at 12pm.  Racing proper will start at 12:30 at Liffey Valley on the N4 on it’s 146km journey to Longford town.

Other stage ends are Newport, Bundoran, Buncrana, Dungloe, Donegal and Ardee.

The final stage (129.4km) will visit the local area on Sunday next, 28th May.

This final stage will start in Ardee, Co. Louth and will travel through Drumcondrath, Nobber, Kilberry, Navan at 12:45, Duleek (13:19), Hilltown where there will be a King O’ Mountain competition, Bellewstown (13:19), where the race turns left for Raholland Cross and at this cross-roads, turns right for Mullateeling (13:35), Clinstown Cross (13:38), Snowtown KOM (13:41), Naul Village (13:44), Whitestown (13:48), Skerries (14:12), before covering three laps of the Black Hills circuit. The finishing time of An Post Rás in Strand Street, Skerries will be at approximately 15:15.

Stamullen Bowls

At the recent AGM of the Stamullen Bowls Club, Officers were appointed as Follows:  Dave Hall: Chairperson, Ralph Bull: Secretary Niall Moore: Treasurer, Asst. Treasurer: Harry Daly, P.R.O.: Rose McGrath, Selector: Dave Hall, Comp Selector: Harry Daly.

The Meath Zone Dinner Dance and presentation of medals was held at the Castle Arch Hotel,Trim on Friday 5th May last.  The Stamullen Club was presented with a cup and medals on winning Division 2 league.  A good night was had by all.

The Golden Girls

The Golden Girls are hoping to take a trip to Fairyhouse evening race meeting on 1st June & a scenic tour to Carlingford on 26th June.  People outside of the group are always very welcome, for further details contact Rose at 086-8377033.

 

Star of the Sea AC

Please note there will be some traffic disruption in Stamullen village, Gormanston Road and Cockhill Road on Tuesday, 30th May from 8pm to 8.30 pm as Star of the Sea AC are hosting their annual 5k Road Race. There will be plenty of marshals on the route.  We hope to keep disruption to a minimum and apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.

We are looking for volunteers to help marshal the race. Please contact Michelle McKiernan on 086-1722749 or Brian Collins on 086-2505638. It will only be for a short period of time and any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

There was no Lotto draw this week as a mark of respect to the Russell family.

  5. Social dancingreturns to  St. Patrick’s GAA Club on Friday, 26th May from 9pm.  Music on the night by Footsteps.  Adm €10 including light refreshments.

 

Free Classes in Digital Skills

Third Age is delivering free Digital Skills classes in your area.  Starting shortly. The free training course is a 10-hour programme over five weeks, two hours per week, 10 participants per course. The programme takes a helpful pace. It covers introduction to the Internet, Internet security and safety, email, search engines and websites, online government services, conducting everyday transactions, online voice and video calls and use of apps. Meath Laterlife Network

Meath Laterlife Network are hosting FREE Information Events for over 55s with experts available from the HSE, Meath County Council, Garda Siochána, SAGE, Third Age Centre, SMSE , Meath Local Sports Partnership to a name a few, providing advice on the following topics: Health at Home; Security at Home: Living at Home: Leaving Home.
