First Friday Calls

Parish Office
The Parish Office will close for summer holidays next Friday, 7th July at 12:30 pm and re-open on Monday 24th at 9:30 am. If you would like to book Masses for these two weeks (which will be included in the Newsletter next weekend), please contact the parish office as soon as possible).

Children’s Liturgy – Stamullen
Children’s Liturgy in St. Patrick’s Church, Stamullen will break for summer recess this Sunday, 2nd July.
We would like to invited everyone to join us for a cup of tea after 10 am Mass in the Parish Centre.

Adoration – Julianstown
Adoration continues through the summer in St. Mary’s Church, Julianstown on Wednesdays from 9 am and after 10 am Mass. All very welcome to spend some time in silent prayer.
Pure in Heart – Talks
“Pure in Heart” is hosting a series of talks next month in several venues around Ireland including Maynooth (8th July) and Drogheda (9th July). The theme of the presentations is St. John Paul II’s theology of the body and they will be given by Christopher West. Pilgrimage to Lourdes

Youth 2000 Summer Festival
Youth 2000 Summer Festival takes place as the Cistercian College, Roscrea, Co. Tipperary from Thursday, 17th to Sunday 20th August. For young people aged 16-35. This is an opportunity not to be missed to experience the Catholic faith and meet many new people, with over 1400 young people from all corners of Ireland attending last year. Mosney Road/Briarleas/keenogue Street Party
Following the huge success of our Street Party last year, the Mosney Road residents have once again decided to host another get-to-gather.
The gathering of current and past residents of the Mosney Road/Briarleas & Keenogue area will take place in Reilly’s Daffodil field, Mosney Road, next Saturday, 8th July at 3 pm. BBQ will be served around 4pm. Come and meet your neighbours & catch up on all the local news. Please pass the word around to all past residents.
Stamullen Road Club
Last Thursday night at the All-Ireland Time Trial Championship in Wexford, Cian Delaney put in a truly great performance, finishing in 9th place.
On Saturday the Stamullen team were favourites to take the team prize in the All Ireland Masters (Over 40’s). However, at the halfway mark, disaster struck when Colin Robinson and Derek Hussey were involved in a pile-up and unfortunately Colin broke his collarbone. This ended Stamullen RC dream.
On Monday night in the Mark Mullen Memorial League, Pearce Gorman finished 3rd in the U12 Race.

Irish Guide Dogs Annual Collection
The Annual Irish guide dogs for the blind Church Gate collection will take place outside of Stamullen and Julianstown churches on the weekend of Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd July at all masses.
All collectors are total volunteers and will have a copy of the Garda permit on them which allows the local branch of guide dogs Balbriggan\N.C.D.B. to take up the collection.
We sincerely thank everybody for their cooperation and support with this collection.
All monies raised go to Irish guide dogs for the blind to train more guide dogs for blind people and more assistance dogs for families who have a child with Autism

Cystic Fibrosis Collection
Betty Hagan has been given a Permit to collect for Cystic Fibrosis Ireland on the weekend of Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th July after Masses in Stamullen and Julianstown. Betty has raised €18,000 over the past 6 years. Please support this collection to help Cystic Fibrosis Sufferers in Ireland.
