First Communion Day – Stamullen
First Holy Communion ceremony will take place in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Gormanston next Saturday, 6th May at 11 am for Children from St. Patrick’s NS.
We ask parishioners to pray for these children and all the children from the parish who are preparing to take their First Communion this year.

Ten Week Draw
Thanks again to the Promoters for their hard work and all who supported the recent Parish Ten Week Draw. A profit of €6,510 was raised.
Adoration
All welcome to spend some time in silent prayer before the Blessed Sacrament through the day in Julianstown on Wednesday from 9 am and continuing after 10 am Mass.
Adoration returns in Stamullen on Thursday 27th April after 10 am Mass to 5pm.
Annual Pioneer Pilgrimage to Knock
The annual Stamullen/Julianstown Pioneer Pilgrimage to Knock Shrine will take place on Sunday, 21st May this year. The cost of the day is €30, and this includes tea/coffee and sandwiches on the way down in The Longford Arms Hotel. The bus will leave Stamullen at 7:45am, and Julianstown at 8am. The True Light Prayer Group
If you who have a desire to seek God in His word and in prayer why not come along to our Prayer Meeting on Tuesdays from 8-9.30pm in the Parish Centre, Stamullen.
Annual May Day Procession
The Annual May Day Procession will take place this year on Monday, 1st May and will celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Our Lady’s apparations at Fatima in 1917 and the coming canonisation of the two children Francisco and Jacinta which will take place in Fatima in May of this year by Pope Francis.
As this is the 100th Anniversary of this wonderful event the Fatima Apostolate are anxious to encourage as many people as possible, especially children, to attend to pray for the Triumph of the Immaculate of Mary and for the promised period peace for the world.
Assembly St Peters Church, West Street at 6:15 pm, Process via West Street, Haymarket, James Street to arrive St. Mary’s Church, James Street for Mass at 7 pm.
Anam Cara
Anam Cara, the national organisation that supports bereaved parents, is holding a Bereavement Information Evening on Wednesday, 10th May from 7:30 to 9:30 pm in the Mullingar Park Hotel, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath. This is a free event. We will need to confirm numbers for event, so please RSVP to info@anamcara.ie before Tuesday 9th May or call 01 4045378.
Stamullen Road Club
This weekend the cycle race events will be taking place at Moy, Co. Tyrone with the Tour of Ulster 3-Day. The O’Leary Stone Kanturk: 3-Day and on Sunday the Frank O’Rourke Memorial in Camross, Wexford. On Tuesday 2nd May the Mondello series will be taking place at 7:30pm.
Star of the Sea AC
Please note there will be some traffic disruption in Stamullen village, Gormanston Road and Cockhill Road on Tuesday, 30th May from 8pm to 8.30 pm as Star of the Sea AC are hosting their annual 5k Road Race. There will be plenty of marshals on the route, we hope to keep disruption to a minimum and apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
We are looking for volunteers to help marshal the race. Please contact Michelle McKiernan on 086-1722749 or Brian Collins on 086-2505638. It will only be for a short period of time and any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Gormanston Beach Clean-up
Please note the next once a month clean up will take place next Saturday 6th May.
Meet at 10 am at Delvin River Viaduct. Clean up generally runs from the Delvin River’s Bremore Beach to Ben Head cliffs. All equipment supplied in co-operation with Meath County Council.
