We remember the bereaved in our prayers.


First Friday Calls

  • If you know of anyone in the parish who would welcome a visit from Declan, please contact the parish office to include them on the list.
  • If you know of any parishioners in hospital who would appreciate a visit from Fr. Declan, please let us know.

This week’s envelope collection is the annual Peter’s Pence collection.  This collection takes place in all parishes.  The proceeds from the collection are sent to Rome and used by the Pope to support special charitable projects in developing countries as well as defraying expenses of the work of the Church.


Kevin Connolly

This Sunday at 3pm in St. Macartan’s cathedral in Monaghan, Deacon Kevin Connolly will be ordained to the Priesthood by Bishop Larry Duffy.

Some years ago Kevin resided in this parish for a number of months on his formation programme.

On behalf of the parish I congratulate him and wish him many blessings for the future. We pray for him and also for vocations for the country in general, and  especially for the diocese of Meath.


Moorechurch Cemetery

Cemetery Sunday in Moorechurch Cemetery will take place next Sunday, 7th July at 11:30 am.


Kilsharvan Cemetery

Blessing of Graves in Kilsharvan Cemetery will take place on Tuesday, 9th July at 7:30 pm.


  • Please alert those outside the parish to these dates.



Annual Mass will take place in Loughcrew on Sunday, 30th June at 3 pm.  All are welcome.


Adoration – Summer times

  • Adoration continues in Julianstown on Wednesdays from 9 am and after 10 am Mass.  (Contact Josephine if you wish to add your name to the list).


Sgt Patrick Mooney Commemoration Committee

Join us at the monument in the centre of Stamullen this weekend to mark the 20th Anniversary of the death of the late Sgt. Patrick Mooney and his comrades, which occurred during a helicopter rescue mission off the Waterford coast on the 2nd July 1999.

The Ceremony will take place at 12:30 pm on Sunday.

All are welcome to attend.


Julianstown and District Community Association

Unfortunately JDCA had to postpone Woolly Wards Petting Farm in Julianstown Village Garden last Sunday.  Please check future newsletters for a new date.



Briarleas/Mosney Road Street Party

Attention all residents of Briarleas /Mosney Road – ‘Save the date’ –  Briarleas Street Party takes place this year on 27th July at 3pm in Reilly’s daffodil field.   Come for the cakes, stay for the craic!   Please pass the word to all ex-residents.


Stamullen Road Club

Last week the club picked up two medals in the Meath Road Race Championships with Helen White and Aoibhinn Sharkey finishing on the Podium.

Craig Sweetman competed in the Newry Wheelers 3-Day race and although finished outside the prizes, he put in a very good performance on each of the stages.

This week’s racing –

All-Ireland Road Race Championships in Derry and these will be held over Thursday (TT champs), Saturday: Ladies Senior RR. Junior Women RR, Junior Men RR and them on Sunday, the Elite and U.23 Road Race championships, the most eagerly awaited events of the entire year.  The Foyle CC in Derry will be hosting these events.

Monday night: Mark Mullen Memorial League at Donore, 7:30pm.

Tuesday: Mondello SeriesRd 9

Saturday 6th July: Ballovor GP at 7 pm.

  1. Junior 2 Hurling Championship Round 1 takesplace on Monday evening the 1st July at GAA Grounds Stamullen at45pm.  St Patrick’s v Trim.
  2. Minor Football League Round 2 takesplace on Tuesday, 2nd July at GAA Grounds Dunshaughlin at30 pm. Dunshaughlin v St Patrick’s.
  3.  Junior 2 Hurling Championship Round 2 takes place on Tuesday, 3rd July at GAA Grounds Baconstown at 7.45pm.  Na Fianna v St. Patrick’s.


Please note there is no Bingo night this Sunday, 30th June.

Meath Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock:  11th August

Led by Bishop Tom Deenihan with the Meath Diocesan Choir.
