RIP

Your prayers are requested for the repose of the soul of Joan Lenehan, Laytown Road,  whose funeral took place in Laytown during the week and Thomas Squires whose funeral takes place in Stamullen on Saturday.

We remember the bereaved in our prayers.

 

Fr. Robert

Fr Robert McCabe celebrates his Silver Jubilee of Ordination next Wednesday 26th  June.

We thank God for his work with the Defence Forces in Gormanston from 1995 until 2015, his UN missions overseas and his contribution to the school community in Stamullen and the faith community of the parish during his time among us.

Fr Robert will join us for Mass us later in the summer.

This  weekend we welcome in Baptism: Amelia Clarke, William Dillon, Adam Haughey, Cristabel Martinez Ahern and Max O’Carolan.

May all newly baptised children always know and love Jesus as their friend.   We ask parishioners to pray for these children and their families.

 

Moorechurch Cemetery

Cemetery Sunday in Moorechurch Cemetery will take place on Sunday, 7th July at 11:30 am.

 

Kilsharvan Cemetery

Blessing of Graves in Kilsharvan Cemetery will take place on Tuesday, 9th July at 7:30 pm.

Adoration – Summer times

  • Adoration continues in Julianstown on Wednesdays from 9 am and after 10 am Mass.  (Contact Josephine if you wish to add your name to the list).

 

Sgt Patrick Mooney Commemoration Committee

To mark the 20th Anniversary of the death of the late Sgt. Patrick Mooney and his comrades, which occurred during a helicopter rescue mission off the Waterford coast on the 2nd July 1999, a Ceremony will take place at 12:30pm on Sunday 30th  June 2019.

All are welcome to attend.  Join us at the monument in the centre of Stamullen.

 

Julianstown and District Community Association

JDCA invites you to Wooly Wards Petting Farm in Julianstown Village Garden on Sunday, 23rd June from 2 – 4 pm.

We will also have a Magician, Puppet Show, Make shapes with Balloons, Face Painting, Bouncy Castle, Games.  All welcome.  Admission: €10 per family (which includes light refreshments for all).

 

Briarleas/Mosney Road Street Party

Attention all residents of Briarleas /Mosney Road – ‘Save the date’.  Briarleas Street Party takes place this year on 27th July at 3pm in Reilly’s daffodil field.   Come for the cakes Stay for the craic!   Please pass the word to all ex-residents.

The opportunity to give blood will arise at St. Patrick’s GAA, Stamullen on Wednesday, 6th June from 4:30 – 8 pm.

It is important that we remember that many patients in hospitals need our blood, and this need never ceases.

Meath Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock:  11th August

Led by Bishop Tom Deenihan with the Meath Diocesan Choir. Mater Dei Research

Researchers at the Mater Dei Centre for Catholic Education (MDCCE) at Dublin City University are embarking on an exciting three-year project which will aim to explore the nature, scope and potential of religious education and faith development for adults in Ireland.  The researchers are inviting all adults in Ireland to complete an online survey that will help them understand what Irish adults think and feel about religious education and how we might best develop this in the future.  The survey can be accessed at www.dcu.ie/adultre until 30th June.  For more, contact bernadette.sweetman@dcu.ie

 

Mark McCormack talk

Mark McCormack of ‘Create the Great in You’ will be giving a talk in Duleek Courthouse as part of the Feel Good Project on 25th of June at 7:30pm. Create the Great in You are an organisation who mentor teenagers and students in the areas of motivation, self-development and achievement in both their school and daily lives. This talk is highly recommended for secondary school students.

 

Irish Wheelchair Association Coastal Camino 2019

This exciting walk is suitable for people of all age groups and all levels of fitness, following a  beautiful trail of 103km from the maritime city of Vigo to wonderful Santiago de Compostela next October.
