RIP

Your prayers are requested for the repose of the soul of Thomas Lynch, whose funeral will take place in Julianstown on Monday.  We remember the bereaved in our prayers.

Julianstown Flower Society Collection

The Julianstown Flower Society will hold their annual collection and at Masses this weekend, Saturday, 30th and Sunday, 31st March.

This collection will support the continued supply of fresh flowers in Julianstown church throughout the year.  Your contributions are greatly appreciated.

 

Make a Wish Day 2019

Johnny McQuillan and family are holding the Annual ‘Wish Day’ Cake Sale in the Parish Centre, Stamullen this weekend The cake sale is taking place in the parish rooms before and after masses on Saturday and Sunday on 30th and 31st March.  (Wristbands will also be on sale at €2 each)

 

Meath Diocese Vocations

Retreat for men (aged 18–40 years).  “The Men of the Passion: Journeying to Calvary with the characters of the Passion story”

Takes place in  Tullamore Parish Centre on Saturday April 13th from 12 noon to after 6.30 evening Mass of Palm Sunday.  Donation only: contact frshane@gmail.com.

 

Adoration

All are welcome to Adoration of the most Blessed Sacrament:

  • In Stamullen after10 am Mass every Thursday until 5pm.  (If you wish to add your name to the list, please contact Teresa on 087-6757581 or Sheila on 086-058580)
  • In Julianstown on Wednesdays from 9 am and after 10 am Mass.  (Contact Josephine if you wish to add your name to the list).

 

Stamullen Road Club

Last weekend the Drogheda Wheelers CC promoted the Boyne GP at Gormalough (near Slane Castle) and in the Senior A2 race, Arek Klus had the misfortune to puncture very early into the race. Craig Sweetman rode very well but out of the prizes, likewise James Hughes.

This Sunday one of the toughest one-day races on the Calendar takes place at Carlow with the Des Hanlon Memorial Classic event.

 

National Spring Clean day

An Taisce National Spring Clean takes place in Julianstown  on Saturday, 6th April from 10 am.

Meet at Whitecross NS.  Litter Pickers, Gloves, Bags and High Vis Jackets will be supplied.

We would like to cover all the roads leading to our village

Can you help get your friends and neighbours to give a hand.  Roads to be covered are:-  Main Dublin to Drogheda Road, Ballygarth Manor, Castle Grove, Ballygarth Road, Mosney Road, Moorechurch Road, Pilltown Road, Minnistown Road, Julianstown to Laytown Road, Preston Park, Aney View, Duleek Road. Mosney Road, Briarleas, Shallon, Lisdornan.  This is a great opportunity to get our village and surrounding areas litter free.

A Skip will be provided by Meath County Council and will be located outside Whitecross National School.

Many thanks to Meath County Council and An Taisce National Spring Clean for supplying all the equipment.

Light refreshments served.  Organised by Julianstown & District Community Association.

East Meath Hospice Pancake Morning 2019

The East Meath Hospice Association would like to thank all who attended the recent Pancake morning.  Thanks also to the Chef, management and staff of the City North Hotel.

€7,200 was raised on the day for which we are very grateful.  Thank you for your continued support.

Knitting / Crocheting Group

A new knitting/crocheting group has been set up and meet every Monday morning from 10:30 am in The Daily Bread Cafe.

Free basic iPhone, iPad, Smartphone, Tablet Class starting soon in St. Patrick’s GAA Centre, Stamullen.  If you would like to book a place please call Angela on 046-9280790.

 

Gormanston Beach Clean-up – Saturday

Please note the clean up of Gormanston Beach will take place at 10 am at Delvin River Viaduct on Saturday, 6th April.

Clean up generally runs from the Delvin River’s Bremore Beach to Ben Head cliffs.

All equipment supplied in co-operation with Meath County Council.

 

Golden Girls

Why not come along and join us on Monday mornings from 11am to 1pm in the Parish Centre, Stamullen for tea/coffee and good company. All very welcome.

Community Recyling Day will take place in Bellewstown Race Course on Saturday, 6th April from 8am to 4pm. (Sharp).
Accepting All electrical and electronic goods.  All bulky household waste.  NO garden clippings, concrete and hazardous waste accepted.
