Easter Ceremonies

Holy Thursday:  Mass of the Lord’s Supper will be celebrated in St. Patrick’s Church,  Stamullen at 7 pm. (Followed by an opportunity for Confession).

Good Friday:  The Passion of the Lord at 3 pm in St. Mary’s Church, Julianstown and Stations of the Cross at 7 pm in St. Patrick’s Church, Stamullen.

Holy Saturday:  Vigil Mass of the Lord’s Resurrection at 9 pm in St. Mary’s Church, Julianstown (Parishioners are invited to bring a candle).

Easter Sunday:  Mass of the Lord’s Resurrection at 10 am in St. Patrick’s Church, Stamullen and 11:30 am in St. Mary’s Church, Julianstown.

 

Cards

We have a limited number of Easter Greeting Cards for sale in the sacristies.  Cards are €2 each.

 

We also have a selection of Cards, including Mass cards, Birthday Mass Cards, Get Well Mass Cards etc., for sale in the Parish Office.

 

First Communion Ceremonies

First Communion ceremonies will take place on Saturday, 11th May in Church of the Immaculate Conception, Gormanston for St. Patrick’s NS and Saturday, 18th May in St. Mary’s Church, Julianstown for Whitecross NS.

 

We ask parishioners to pray for all children from our Parish who are preparing for this special occasion in their lives.

Stamullen Flower Society

Stamullen Flower Society would like to thank all who contributed to their recent annual collection.  A total of €720 was received.  Thank you.

This collection will support the continued supply of fresh flowers in Stamullen church throughout the year.  Your contributions are greatly appreciated.

 

Meath Diocese Vocations

Retreat for men (aged 18–40 years).  “The Men of the Passion: Journeying to Calvary with the characters of the Passion story”

Takes place in  Tullamore Parish Centre on Saturday April 13th from 12 noon to after 6.30 evening Mass of Palm Sunday.  Donation only: contact frshane@gmail.com.

 

Adoration

All are welcome to Adoration of the most Blessed Sacrament:

  • In Stamullen after10 am Mass every Thursday until 5pm.  (If you wish to add your name to the list, please contact Teresa on 087-6757581 or Sheila on 086-058580)
  • In Julianstown on Wednesdays from 9 am and after 10 am Mass.  (Contact Josephine if you wish to add your name to the list).

 

Kids Yoga & Mindfulness classes

Every Wednesday from 4.15-5:15pm in Julianstown Community Centre. €10 per child. (discounts available for siblings). Children aged 6-12.  Contact Louise on 086-391960.

 

Stamullen Road Club

It was really great to see James Hughes finishing in the prizes in the Des Hanlon Senior A4 last Sunday. This particular race is one of the toughest events on the Yearbook, so well done James.

This weekend the races are over in Bohermeen with the annual Waller Cup events.  Racing will get underway from 10:30 am with Senior A4 and Ladies and then Senior A1, A2, A3 races starting at 1:30 pm.

On Sunday races are also taking place in Ballymena and Dungarvan.

 

Free basic technology Classes

Free basic iPhone, iPad, Smartphone, Tablet Class starting soon in St. Patrick’s GAA Centre, Stamullen.  If you would like to book a place please call Angela on 046-9280790.

Knitting / Crocheting Group

A new knitting/crocheting group has been set up and meet every Monday morning from 10:30 am in The Daily Bread Cafe.

Please note this is a social group and not a class. Come along and enjoy an hour or two of stitching in the relaxed atmosphere of the cafe. Contact Fiona on 087-7690170.

Confidence Clinic Duleek

The Confidence Clinic will be giving a talk in the Courthouse Duleek as part of the Feel Good Project on Tuesday, 9th April at 7.30 pm. They will be talking about confidence building in teenagers and children, and issues that can damage a young person’s self-esteem, from bullying and shyness to stress and anxiety. A great talk for parents and young people to attend.

 

Type 2 Diabetes?

X-Pert Dietitian Care course for Type 2 Diabetes will be starting in St. Theresa’s Building, Hardman’s Gardens, Drogheda, Co. Louth (Beside the Lourdes Church) on Friday, 10th May.

Diabetes Prevention Programme

Do you want to improve your Health and decrease the risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes:  The HSE are offering a free Education Programme, aimed at people with increased risk factors in Navan Education Centre, Athlumney, Navan on Monday, 13th an Monday, 20th May from 10 am to 1 pm.  If you are interested in attending, please contact Mary McNally on 046-9420804 or e-mail maryp.mcnally@hse.ie for more information.

 

Gareth Noble Legal Roadshow – Children’s law

Join us for Gareth’s free Roadshow on Wednesday, 29th May in Friends of Autism and ADHD Offices, 102 Strand Street, Skerries, Co. Dublin.

Gareth Noble is a partner in KOD Lyons Solicitors, Ireland’s leading human rights and public interest law team. He is hosting a series of Legal Roadshows throughout Ireland. He is recognised as one of Ireland’s leading litigators in the area of children with disabilities and represented many families across the country in areas related to Domiciliary Care Allowance, Carer’s Allowance and services for children. Gareth also specialises in Education Law in relation to school bullying, disciplinary issues and more.
