Feast of the Assumption

As the 8th December falls on a Sunday this year, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception is celebrated on Monday, 9th.

Therefore, Mass will be celebrated on Monday in Julianstown at 11am and in Stamullen at 7 pm on this Holy Day of obligation.

 

RIP

Your prayers are requested for the repose of the soul of Kay Leahy, whose funeral took place in Stamullen on Friday.

St. Patrick’s School: DTIM (Do This in Memory)

We welcome the Children from St. Patrick’s NS, with their families, as they enrol for First Holy Communion at 7 pm in St. Mary’s Church Julianstown.

 

Parish Fund Raising Bingo

Sincere thanks to all who supported our Parish fund raising Bingo during the week.  It was ag reat success and a great night was had by all.

List of the Dead

Please remember that all on the List of the Dead will be prayed for at 10 am Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Julianstown on the First Friday of every month.

 

Christmas Cards

Christmas Day Mass cards are available from the Sacristies and Parish office.

The intentions of those to whom the cards are sent will be remembered at Masses in the parish on Christmas Day.

 

Sacraments in the Parish:  Baptism

This weekend we welcome in Baptism: Erin Lee. May all newly baptised children always know and love Jesus as their friend.   We ask parishioners to pray for these children and their family.

 

Mass Intentions

If you wish to book a Mass please contact the parish office in plenty of time as only three families’ intentions are accepted for each weekend Mass.  (With the exception of a Month’s Mind Mass, when a fourth family can be added if necessary).

Please remember Funeral Masses, when they occur, will replace the Mass of the day.

On Sunday, Funerals will take place at the usual Mass times.  Funerals therefore will take place at 10 am in Stamullen and 11:30 am in Julianstown (on a Sunday).

Only one Mass Intention can be taken for 10 am weekday Masses.

 

Advent Wednesdays

Adoration will continue at 7:30 pm in St. Patrick’s Church, Stamullen every Wednesday during Advent. All very welcome.

 

 

Art Group – Christmas Fair

Why not call into the Parish Centre, Stamullen for the annual Stamullen Art Group Exhibition and sale of Art, Crafts, Cakes etc.  All welcome to pop in from 5-7 pm on Saturday, 7th and all day on Sunday, 8th December.

 

Order of Malta / Malta Services

Order of Malta will hold their annual collection next weekend Saturday, 14th and Sunday 15th December outside all Masses.

 

Giving Tree

We would like to thank Black’s Garden Centre for providing the Tree in St. Mary’s Church, Julianstown.

We will be collecting gifts, in both Parish Churches again this year.  Please leave new unwrapped gifts for children, young adults and adults under the tree, during mass times only.

Gifts will be collected in St. Patrick’s NS also. All gifts collected with be distributed by St. Vincent DePaul locally.

 

Stamullen Road Club

It really is a busy time for the club in respect of fundraising for the 2020 season. A massive thanks must go out to the many generous people who called and donated prizes for the annual Stamullen Christmas Poker, really appreciated.

The Christmas Draw tickets are now in full circulation and, as always, great thanks to all the local business people who allow their premises as a sales outlet, Centra Supermarket, D. Farrell & Sons Butchers in the village, Kay’s Stores in Greenanstown and as this is a major fundraiser for the club, support is always welcome. The tickets are also available in Whyte’s Bar/Restaurant or from any club member.

The Draw will take place in Whytes Bar/Restaurant on Saturday night 21st December and great craic on the night is guaranteed. The first prize in the draw is €500, 2nd €300, 3rd €200, followed by (9) other great prizes and tickets are €2 each or book of three for €5.

Join us for Bingo in the Clubhouse this Sunday at 8pm.  This will be the last bingo before Christmas.  Check out newsletter in the New Year for the date Bingo returns.

 

St. Mary’s C. of I. Christmas Tree Festival

Join us for the 2019 Christmas Tree Festival in St. Mary’s, Church of Ireland Church, from 12th to 15th December.  Opening times: 5-8pm Thursday, 11am-8pm Friday, 11am to 6pm Saturday and 12pm to 6 pm Sunday. Admission: €5 adult, €3 child and €10 for family (2 adults and 3 children).

Anam Cara

Anam Cara North Dublin, the organisation that supports bereaved parents, is holding a Parent Evening for bereaved parents on Wednesday, 18th December at 7:20pm in the Carnegie Court Hotel, Swords, Co. Dublin. This event is free and open to all bereaved parents regardless of the age your child died, the circumstances of their death, or whether their death was recent or not.
