RIP

Your prayers are requested for the repose of the souls of Jim Lenehan whose funeral took place during the week and Declan Brennan whose funeral took place in St. Mary’s Church, Julianstown on Saturday.

We remember the bereaved in our prayers.

 

Sacraments in the Parish:  Baptism

This weekend we welcome in Baptism: Lilah Marry.

 

May all newly baptised children always know and love Jesus as their friend.   We ask parishioners to pray for Lilah and her family.

 

Preparation for School Ceremonies in the Parish

Children from second classes in Whitecross School will make their First Confessions at 7 pm on Wednesday, 12th February in St. Mary’s Church, Julianstown in preparation for their First Communion Ceremonies this year.

 

Confirmation Candidates from Whitecross NS will attend their Ceremony of Light on Thursday, 13th February at 7 pm in St. Mary’s Church, Julianstown.

 

Fund Raising Committee: Ten Week Draw

The Annual 10 Week draw commences this Sunday after 10 am Mass in Stamullen.  All welcome.

 

We would like to thank all our promoters: Mary Clarke, Pauline Clarkin, Mary Courtney, Mary Davitt, Rita Gilligan, Bridie Kirwan, Nuala Kavanagh, Fr. Adoration Stamullen

Meath Diocesan Pilgrimage to the Holy Land

From 1-9th June 2020 follow in the Footsteps of Jesus and experience the sacred sites of the Gospel.

The pilgrimage will begin in Tiberius/Galilee and the surrounding region where Jesus called His disciples and first proclaimed the Good News. Pilgrims will then continue to Jerusalem and take excursions to the wider district, including Bethlehem. Fr. Mark English will be Spiritual Director for this pilgrimage which is provided by Navan Travel. Franciscan College Parents Association Bake Sale

The Parents Association from Franciscan College, Gormanston are holding a Bake Sale after Masses in Stamullen this weekend (8th & 9th February).

All proceeds for equipment for the School.  

 

HSE Diabetes Education Course

The HSE are offering a free Diabetes Education Course ‘Desmond’ for all patients with Type 2 diabetes.  Starting in Dunshaughlin in Spring 2020.

This is a free course that runs for two mornings (3 hours each). You will have the opportunity to learn about all aspects of your diabetes care and we will help you develop a plan to manage your diabetes.

The opportunity to give blood will arise at St. Patrick’s GFC, Stamullen on Thursday, 13th February from 4:30 – 8 pm.

It is important that we remember that many patients in hospitals need our blood and this need never ceases.

Navigate your Work Future

A free day-long course takes place in the Sheraton Hotel, Athlone on Thursday, 27th February from 10am-4pm.  It has been developed by Third Age, a not-for-profit organisation, and is geared particularly for mature workers aged 40+.
