We pray for Anthony Kerr who will be ordained Deacon by the Most Reverend Tom Deenihan, Bishop of Meath on Sunday 21st January in St Mary’s Church, Drogheda.
Anthony is from the Parish of Navan. At the diaconate ordination, the candidate receives a new identity, as a servant of Christ and the Church. While he will proceed to priestly ordination, in some sense he retains that diaconal identity for he will always be at the service of the People of God, following the example of Jesus the Servant: “I have not come to be served but to serve” (Mk 10:45).
We pray that Anthonys’ service at the altar of God will be a ministry of joy, fulfillment and hope. We thank God that he has followed the Lord in answering his call.
Anthony will be ordained to the Priesthood for our diocese in due course.
Is the Lord drawing you to himself? You too can have a new identity as a Priest of Jesus Christ. Please feel free to contact us: www.meathvocations.com. Instagram: dioceseofmeathvocations
