Twenty Ninth Sunday in Ordinary Time 16th October 2022

Your prayers are requested for the repose of the soul of Ann Bissett, sister of Rhena Martin, whose funeral took place during the week.

Annual Remembrance Mass

Our Annual Parish Remembrance Mass will take place on Saturday, 19th November at 5:45 pm in St. Patrick’s Church, Stamullen and at 7 pm in St. Mary’s Church Julianstown.

 

During this Mass we will remember our loved ones and friends who have died, we will also remember all who have died in tragic circumstances in our Country during the year and those who died tragically in Creeslough.

 

November List of the Dead

List of the Dead envelopes are available in the Church.  You can return your envelope by placing it in the box at the top of the Church during mass times, popping in into the basket, or you can give it to Fr. Brendan or drop it in to Carol in our Parish office.  All on the list of the dead will be prayed for during 10 am mass on the First Friday of every month and at all Masses during the month of November.

 

Heating in St. Patrick’s Church

We regret to advise that the Heating system in St. Patrick’s Church still isn’t working.  We apologise for the inconvenience.  Hopefully our Church will be warm and cosy again, very soon.

 

Ceremonies in the Parish:  Confirmation

Parish Confirmation Ceremonies will take place on Monday, 27th February 2023 at 10 am for our young parishioners from St. Patrick’s NS and 12 pm for our young parishioners from Whitecross NS.

 

Ceremonies in the Parish: First Communion

Holy Communion Ceremonies will take place in the Parish on Saturdays, 22nd April and 6th May 2023 at 10 am.

 

Children from Whitecross School will be invited on 22nd April and children from St. Patrick’s School will be invited on 6th May.  Please keep an eye on our Parish Newsletter for more information regarding Preparation for these Ceremonies.

 

Ministers of the Eucharist

Ministers of the Eucharist are invited to attend a short meeting this Tuesday, 18th October in St. Patrick’s Church Stamullen at 7:30 pm.

 

Thank you to all who attended last Tuesday.

We will hold a meeting for our new Parish Baptismal Team soon.

World Mission Sunday

Next Sunday, 23rd October, is World Mission Sunday which is Holy Father’s annual appeal to support overseas mission and missionaries. It takes place in every  parish worldwide where the Church is present.

In Ireand, Missio Ireland is tasked with organising the Mission Sunday collection.  Missio Ireland is the Pope’s official charity for overseas Mission.

You will have a special envelope in your box for Mission Sunday, you can also donate €4 by phone by texting Mission to 50300.  Alternatively donate at www.missio.ie or call Missio on 01-4972035.  To learn more, go to Missio.ie.
