Diocesan News

Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes

On Tuesday, 9th September, Bishop Tom will lead our annual diocesan pilgrimage to Lourdes.

Each year this pilgrimage is a source of grace and encouragement for our diocese, and it gathers together many groups who make up the life of our Church. Among those travelling are pilgrims carrying sickness, volunteer helpers, who give generously of their time, young people bringing great energy and faith, and the Cathedral Choristers who lift hearts in prayer through their music.

Lourdes is a very special place where prayer, reflection, and healing are at the heart of the experience. It is a shrine of welcome and peace, where the sick are held in honour and where many find new strength and consolation.

As our diocesan family travels there once again, we remember them warmly in our prayers, and we ask them in turn to carry our intentions to the Grotto of Our Lady.

  • A Screening of the Laudato Si’ Film-Documentary “The Letter – A Message For Our Earth” will take place in Collinstown & Fore Parish Centre, on Wednesday, 10th September from 7-9 pm.

80 minute film followed by Q&A discussion. Tea and refreshments afterwards.

  • Samuel Group

Samuel Group for young adults (ages 18-40) – Do you want to grow in your prayer life?

Meath Samuel Group is taking place in Navan, October 2025 through May 2026.

The programme entails being present once a month at the formation day in Navan, meeting monthly with a spiritual director (we’ll help you find one, if needed), and a commitment to daily prayer.
