Recently we welcomed Ihechi Anyaibe, Thea Dolan Kenny, Kamsiyochukwu Dominion Liam Nkemakolam and Mya Stewart into our Faith family.

  • First Communion

First Communion Ceremonies for children attending Whitecross School will take place on Saturday, 18th April at 10 am and for children attending St. Patrick’s School on Saturday, 25th April at 10 am.

  • Confirmation

Thanks to the Candidates and their families who joined us last weekend as we begin our Parish Preparation Programme for Confirmation. We are delighted to welcome the families who are attending this weekend.

This is a very exciting time for our young parishioners, their families and our Parish.

We ask parishioners to pray for these children and all our young parishioners.

  • Marriage

We would like to congratulate Heather Pickvance and Oliver Collins who were married in our Parish during the week. We wish them every blessing for the future.

List of the Dead

In November we add our loved ones to the List of the Dead in our Parish.

List of the Dead envelopes are available beside the newsletters at the entrance/exit doors. They are also available in your yearly box of envelopes.

All who are named on the Parish List of the Dead will be remembered at all Masses during November and the two masses each First Friday. All are invited to attend these masses on the First Fridays at 10am St. Mary’s and 7:30 pm in St. Patrick’s.

You can return your List of the Dead Envelope in any of the boxes provided in both churches. For security, please leave envelopes during Mass times only. You can also drop them into the Parish.

First Friday

First Friday Mass will take place at 10 am in St. Mary’s Church, Julianstown and at 7:30 pm in St. Patrick’s Church, Stamullen. All on our Parish List of the Dead will be remembered at both Masses.

First Friday Calls

Fr. Brendan will visit homes on Thursday, 6th and Friday 7th November. If you or a family member would like Fr. Brendan to call, or if you know someone who would appreciate a call, please contact our Parish Office.

If you have a family member, or know someone in hospital who would appreciate a visit from a Priest, it is very important that you contact our Parish Office and advise Hospital, Ward etc.

Due to GDPR Restrictions, we are unable to obtain this information from the Hospital

November

November is a time for remembering and praying for our loved ones who have gone before us and whose loss we feel. It is a time when we are particularly conscious of those in our parish who are grieving and all those who have lost loved ones, especially in the past year.

We mark this time of year in our parish with events like the celebration of remembrance Mass as well as commemorating All Saints’ and All Souls’ Day.

In our Parish, we will create a sacred space/garden within both churches. This sacred space will be in the sanctuary area and it will be left in place until the end of November.

November Memorial Mass

Our Annual Parish Memorial Mass will take place at the Vigil Mass on Saturday, 15th November.

Families who lost loved ones during the year will be invited to participate in this Mass.

The Theme of our Mass this year is – “We are all walking each other home…”

At the Mass each family is invited to bring a pair of shoes/footwear and place them, with a candle (which will be supplied) at the front of the Altar in our November garden.

These items of footwear represent your loved one who has gone before us — and the journey we all share, and will share again.

Please invite friends and family, or anyone you know who has lost a loved one to come along.
