The second collection today is a special collection at the request of Pope Francis, for the Church and people in Ukraine.
Pilgrimage to Holy Door, Navan
Stamullen & Julianstown Parish has been invited to make a pilgrimage to the Holy Door in St. Mary’s Church, Navan on Friday, 6th May.
On the Friday at 7:30 pm pilgrims are invited to make the “Path of Mercy” in the Church to the Holy Door and avail of the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation in Confession. Mass will begin at 8:30 pm, with refreshments available afterwards.
This pilgrimage fulfills the conditions for the Plenary Indulgence for the Jubilee Year. “Merciful like the Father”.

Depending on numbers we would be happy to arrange a bus which would leave Stamullen and Julianstown Churches to travel to Navan. Please advise if you would like to avail of the bus.
DTIM
The Children from our Primary Schools have attended DTIM (Do This In Memory) Masses in preparation for First Holy Communion ceremonies which will take place in Stamullen on Saturday, 7th May and Julianstown on Saturday, 14th May.
We ask parishioners to pray for these children, and all the children from the parish, who are preparing to take their First Communion this year.

This weekend we welcome in baptism Willow Brady, Nina Byrne, Orlaith Cummins, Lottie Kelly, Lily Ryan McCann. May these newly baptised children always know and love Jesus as their friend.

Meath Diocesan Pilgrimage to Rome
Led by Most Rev. Michael Smith the Pilgrimage includes Papal audience or Angelus with Pope Francis in St. Peter’s Square and a wide range of trips, (please see notice board for more details of this wonderful Pilgrimage). Meath Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes

Camp Veritas
Camp Veritas is a one week ‘play and pray’ sleep away summer camp for teens 12 to 18 years old. It is being held in Maynooth University Campus from the 26th June to 1st July this year. If you are interested please log onto www.campveritas.com and follow the link. If you would like to be a volunteer at this camp you must be aged 18 and upwards. Scouts Cake Sale
The 20th Meath Stamullen Scout Troop will hold a Cake and Plant sale and Raffle this weekend (23rd and 24th April) after 6 pm and 10 am Masses in the Parish centre, Stamullen.
Golden girls
The Golden Girls are planning a trip to the Japanese Gardens, National Stud and Newbridge Silver on Tuesday, 10th May. Bus will depart from Stamullen. If you would like to join us please call Rosie at 8411065.
Julianstown Youth Orchestra
The Julianstown Youth Orchestra end of year concert takes place in the Barbican, Drogheda on Friday 6th May at 7.30pm. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Adults €10 and accompanying children are free of charge. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear both Junior and Senior orchestras perform.

Stamullen Road Club
Results: Last week Arek Klus won the senior A3 section in the Peter Bidwell Memorial at Donore, Drogheda. Then on Sunday in the Coombes-Connor Memorial Senior A1 race, Craig Sweetman finished 6th.
This weekend’s fixtures – Sunday the Waller cup races will be taking place at Bohermeen with the Underage starting off at 10:30 and seniors at 1:30. On Tuesday 26th April the Mondello Series of cycle races will get underway at Mondello ParkInternational Racing Circuit and will start at 7:00pm.
Briarleas /Keenoge Residents – Street Feast
Street Feast is a day of local lunches across Ireland during June, hosted by you and your neighbours. They can be anywhere really – out on the street, in a local park or even a field! There are lots of good reasons to have a Street Feast, but it’s really just a great excuse to eat great food, celebrate your local community and meet new people who live near you.
A Street Party is planned for 25th June on the Mosney Road. Keep your eyes open for more details to follow .
Star of the Sea AC
Star of the Sea A.C. are hosting their annual 5k Road Race on May 24th from 8pm to 8.30 pm. Please note there will be some traffic disruption in Stamullen village, Gormanston Road and Cockhill Road as. There will be plenty of marshals on the route, we hope to keep disruption to a minimum and apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
Irish Blood Transfusion Service
The opportunity to give blood will arise at Scoil Oilibhear Naofa, Bettystown on Thursday, 19th May from 5-8:30 pm. It is important tat we all remember that many patients in hospitals need our blood and this need never ceases. Thank you.
Gormanston Beach Clean-up

Meath Sports – Royal County Run
Royal County 5km & 10km in Kells on Monday 2nd May at 10.30am is now open for registrations. See www.meathsports.ie for further details. Early bird (available until Thursday 28th April) €15 for 10km, €10 for 5km. All ages & abilities welcome.
