Sunday, 17th April 2016
Pope Francis has asked all parishes in Europe to hold a special collection for the Church and the people in Ukraine. Pope Francis will be visiting Ukraine from 24th to 26th June. He has spoken of the terrible situation there, one largely ignored by media and Governments in the west.
Therefore a second collection will take place during all masses next weekend, 23rd and 24th April, in both churches.
We are pleased to announce our next Bingo night on Wednesday, 25th May at 8 pm in the City North Hotel. Looking forward to seeing you all there ……

Stamullen Road Club
Last weekend’s cycle races both at Balscadden and Stamullen proved to be a terrific success but could not have been so without the help of so many people. It would be impossible to name ‘names’ but collectively thanks to everybody for volunteering their time and expertise. This was very much appreciated by the club. Also, we can’t stress enough how important our loyal team of sponsors are to the club. Without these generous local business people, it really would be impossible to promote our cycle races on such a big scale. It would be interesting to note that 385 riders coming from every corner of the country turned up in Stamullen last Sunday. This was the biggest ever entry for the GP races.
We must thank all of the residents along the race routes both on Saturday for the John Reilly Perpetual Cup race at Balscadden and Sunday the Grand Prix Races, who all helped to make it a very safe and enjoyable weekend of cycle races.
We also acknowledge and thank both the Meath County Council and Fingal County Council for filling the potholes on the race routes.
The John Reilly Perpetual Cup race was won by Matteo Cigala, Aqua Blue Club at Balscadden on Saturday, Joey Whyte Memorial Cup was won by Ian Richardson (Slane) competing with UCD team, Patrick Kennedy Cup was won by James Curry from Banbridge CC, Pat Howard Memorial Cup was won by Tomas McCabe from Ardee CC, Jimmy Gough Memorial Cup was won by Xeno Young from Powerhouse Sport (Belfast), SafeLink Sheild was won by Cian O’Reilly from UCD CC in Dublin.
Saturday: 2-days of cycle races Ras na n’Og (U12, U14 & U16’s) at Bellewstown.
Saturday: Peter Bidwell at Plattin on Saturday evening.
Sunday: Final of Ras na n’Og races at Shallon on Sunday morning.
Sunday: Coombes Connor Memorial Races for all seniors in the afternoon at Shallon.
