New Collection Baskets

At the request of the Diocesan Office, we will introduce new ‘baskets’ (bags) for our Offertory collection at Mass.

From next weekend, we will introduce these new collection bags.

Collectors will come down the centre aisle and hand them to the first person in the pew, please pass the bag along and then return it to the collector.

 

First Confessions

First Confession Ceremonies will take place on Tuesday, 27th February in St. Mary’s Church and Wednesday, 28th February in St. Patrick’s Church, both at 7 pm.

 

Mass on Wednesday during Lent

  • Mass will take place at 8 pm in St. Patrick’s Church on Wednesday, 28th February.

 

Unless otherwise advised, Mass will take place at 10 am in St. Marys Church and 7:30 pm in St. Patrick’s Church and every Wednesday during Lent.

 

Easter Cards

We have a selection of Easter Mass Bouquets available in both Sacristies and from the Parish Office.

 

 

Sacramental Preparation Committee

Children from our First Communion Classes have received their Passports for Lent.

 

Children are invited to take part each week with small tasks to complete at home and to bring their work to mass to receive a stamp.

 

Each child who completes their Lenten Passport will receive a small prize at the end.

First Friday calls and Hospital Visits

First Friday calls will take place on Thursday, 29th February and Friday, 1st March.

 

If you, or a member of your family, would appreciate a visit from Fr. Brendan, please contact our Parish Office or call Fr. Brendan on 087-2204788.

 

 

Your Lenten Journey

A small number of “Walk with Me” booklets are still available in our Churches/Sacristies for anyone who would like to have one.

These little booklets and are a lovely companion as we pilgrimage together, nourished by prayer, strengthened by Scripture and sustained by the Eucharist, towards our goal, the great feast of Easter Sunday.  Cost:  €1.30.

 

 

East Meath Hospice Association Pancake Morning

Many thanks to all who joined us on Tuesday in the City North Hotel.

A great morning was had by all.

 

Approximately €10,000 was raised over all the events which is fantastic!!  Sincere thanks to all for your support.

 

 

St. Patrick’s GFHC Lotto

We would like to thank Amanda Smith and Meath Co. Council who have erected bollards on the public footpath outside St. Patrick’s Church.

The Council took the decision to erect these bollards on health and safety grounds, following a number of accidents and incidents.  Their aim is to assist people crossing the road safely.

Please respect the footpath, especially at Mass times.
