Your prayers are requested for the repose of the soul of Rita Courtney, Julianstown, whose funeral took place this weekend.  We remember the bereaved in our prayers.

 

Sacraments in the Parish:  Baptism

This weekend we welcome in Baptism: Adam Corbett and Emma James.  May all newly baptised children always know and love Jesus as their friend.   We ask parishioners to pray for these children and their familes.

 

Exam Time

We remember all our young parishioners who are sitting the Junior and Leaving Certificate Exams.  A prayer to the Holy Spirit on their behalf would be most appreciated…..

  • We have a small number of Exam Mass Cards available in the Parish Office at €3 each.

Mass and Blessing of Graves

  • The Annual Mass and Blessing of Graves in Moorechurch Cemetery will take place on Sunday, 1stJuly at 11:30 am.
  • Mass and Blessing of Graves in Stamullen Cemetery will take place on Friday, 29thJune at 7:30 pm.
  • Blessing of Graves in Kilsharvan Cemetery will take place on Friday, 13thJuly at 7:30 pm.
  • Please alert those outside the parish to these dates.

 

Relics of St. Oliver

Relics of St. Oliver will be present at 6pm Mass in Stamullen on Saturday, 16th June and at 7 pm in Julianstown on Saturday, 23rd June.

 

Adoration

If you would like to spend some time in quiet prayer with the Lord, please join us for one hour, in Julianstown from 9 am and after 10 am Mass on Wednesday

 

WMOF2018

The Icon of the Holy Family will be hosted by St. Mary’s Parish, Navan from Tuesday, 26th to Thursday, 29th June and Cathedral of Christ the King, Mullingar   will host the Icon from Thursday, 29th June to Sunday, 1st July.

 

Meath Lourdes Hospitality Group Church Gate Collection

The Meath Lourdes Hospitality Group have been granted a permit for Church gate collection next weekend Saturday, 16th and Sunday 17th June.

  • If parishioners know any Hospital pilgrims who would like to travel to Lourdes and need some help with the fare, please contact Lily on 087-6978783.

 

Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes

Led by Bishop Michael Smith, the annual Meath Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes will take place from 12th -17th September.

Briarleas/Mosney Road – Street Party

By now all the residents of the Briarleas area should have received their invite to the annual summer party. Eamon Reilly’s Lawnmower is working overtime to keep the grass cut and the local children are getting all excited.  We would love to see all Current & especially past residents there on the day.

Calling all old and potential new members of Julianstown Drama Group.  A production of “The Battle of Julianstown 1641” will take place in September 2018.  Anyone interested intaking part, acting or back stage, is invited to attend a meeting in the Julianstown Community Centre at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, 19th June.

 

Julianstown Summer Festival

Julianstown Summer Festival takes place on Sunday, 10th June in the Village Garden from 2 pm to 4 pm.  There will be lots of fun and games for all the family, including a Magician, Puppeteer, Bouncy Castles, Drumming Circle, Music,and much more!

This year we have teamed up with Forna na Gaeilge who, along with Meath County Council, are sponsoring some of the events.  The theme for this year is ‘Mad Hatters Tea Party”.  We would ask everyone to bring a picnic, wear their ‘best hat’’ for which there will be a prize.  Tell all your friends about it .. as they say – spread the word!.

Admission is €5 per family and we will supply all the tea/coffee/drinks and light refreshments.

Come along and enjoy the day and celebrate the best ever Street Feast Party in Julianstown.  All very welcome.

 

St.  Patrick’s Club – Lotto

Stamullen Road Club

Last Sunday in the Emma McMullan RR in Bishopscourt, Co. Down Craig Sweetman finished in 3rd place.  Later in the week Sean Landers and David Wherity were competing in the McNally Swords Summer League (Time Trial) where Sean finished 4th and David 6th.

This weeks racing: Saturday: Galway City Criterium.

Sunday: Donamon GP in Castlecoote, Co. Roscommon.

Sunday: Paddy Flanagan Memorial, Kildare.

Wednesday: McNally Swords Summer League.

Friday: Mullingar Criterium in Mullingar at 18:00.

 

Stamullen Art Group Exhibition

Stamullen Art Group will host an exhibition of paintings in Skerries Mills from Monday, 4th to Sunday, 17th June from 10.30 am to 5:30 pm.  Admission Free.

 

St. Patrick’s GF & HC – Club News

Under 12 Hurling League on Monday, 11th June  at 7pm away to Kells.  Gaeil Colmcille / Kilskryre v St Patrick’s/ St Colmcille’s.

Under 9s Hurling on Monday, 11th June at GAA Grounds Stamullen at 7pm.  St Patrick’s v St Colmcille’s.

 

St. John’ Ambulance church gate collection

St. John Ambulance church gate collection will take place on weekend of 9/10th June.

St. John provide ambulance and first aid cover at various events throughout the Louth/Meath areas. All our members are volunteers. We rely on the generosity of the general public and business community to provide our services.

Monies raised over the weekend will go towards the general running costs of medical supplies, insurance, ambulance upkeep.

Knit ‘n’ Knatter at Sunflower Cafe, Riverside, Mornington

Come along and join us every Friday morning from 10 am to 12 pm for a morning of knitting or crocheting in the newly opened Sunflower Cafe at Riverside Home & Gift Shop, Mornington. Admission is free and is open to all ages and levels. (Please note this is not a class but members are willing to offer advice. Contact Eileen 086-7347789 for enquiries).
