Mass and Blessing of Graves

  • The Annual Mass and Blessing of Graves in Moorechurch Cemetery will take place on Sunday, 1stJuly at 11:30 am.
  • Mass and Blessing of Graves in Stamullen Cemetery will take place on Friday, 29thJune at 7:30 pm.
  • Blessing of Graves in Kilsharvan Cemetery will take place on Friday, 13thJuly at 7:30 pm.
  • Please alert those outside the parish to these dates.

 

Relics of St. Oliver

Relics of St. Oliver will be present at 6pm Mass this Saturday in Stamullen and at 7 pm in Julianstown next Saturday, 23rd June.

 

WMOF2018

National Collection this weekend

WMOF 2018 involves the participation of all 26 dioceses on the island and it will mark a very important milestone for Catholicism in Ireland.  While appreciating the financial demands currently facing families, bishops ask the faithful to contribute generously to the fourth national collection at Masses this weekend, 16th & 17th June in support of WMOF2018.

Open invitation to Families
An open invitation is being extended to families around our parish to visit the Icon of the Holy Family in Navan from Tuesday, 26th June to Friday 29th June and in Mullingar from Friday, 29th June to Monday, 2nd July.

Details of the different ceremonies in Navan and Mullingar during these days will be published in next week’s bulletin.

Petition sheets will  be made available for families and individuals in every parish so that they can write a prayer request for their family and leave their petition close to the Icon.

Registration Update
977 pilgrims have registered from around the diocese of Meath for the Congress of Families in the RDS, the Festival of Families in Croke Park and the Mass in the Phoenix Park. Registration via www.worldmeeting2018.ie The Icon of the Holy Family will be hosted by St. Mary’s Parish, Navan from Tuesday, 26th to Thursday, 29th June and Cathedral of Christ the King, Mullingar   will host the Icon from Thursday, 29th June to Sunday, 1st July.

 

The Final Mass for WMOF2018 will be a free ticketed event. Every adult and child in attendance will require a ticket to access the venue.

 

At the moment the tickets for the Final Mass in the Phoenix Park are not directly available on general release until consultations are completed with the relevant statutory agencies on capacity, transport, security, safety and other issues.

When these tickets become available they will be free. Further details will be released in the coming weeks.

 

Trocaire

At their recent Conference in Maynooth, Bishops expressed their deep gratitude to parishioners, priests and religious across the country for their continued support for Trócaire, the overseas development agency of the Bishops’ Conference.  Last year saw €29.1m donated to Trócaire by the Irish public.  These donations enabled Trócaire to bring support and relief to 2.8 million people throughout the developing world.  This expression of faith and solidary continues to change the lives of some of the poorest and most vulnerable people in the world.

Julianstown Drama Group

Calling all old and potential new members of Julianstown Drama Group.  A production of “The Battle of Julianstown 1641” will take place in September 2018.  Anyone interested intaking part, acting or back stage, is invited to attend a meeting in the Julianstown Community Centre at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, 19th June.

Stamullen Art Group will host an exhibition of paintings in Skerries Mills will finish this Sunday, 17th June at 5:30 pm.  Admission Free.

 

St. Patrick’s GF & HC – Club News

  3. Social Dancing returns to St.Patrick’s GAA Centre on Friday, 29th June at 9pm.  Music on the night Brian Mc Dermott. Adm €10 to include light refreshments.
  4. Date for the Diary:  St Patricks GAAwill host the Féile (Under 14) Boys & Girls Football  over the weekend of the 29th June to 1st July at the GAA Grounds.  More details next week.

Knit ‘n’ Knatter at Sunflower Cafe, Riverside, Mornington
