Moorechurch Cemetery

The Council have removed the bins from the Cemetery in Moorechurch.  However, everyone who uses it have a duty of care to preserve its appearance insofar as possible.

This applies to all who work in and use the cemetery.  It is common sense that flowers and cemetery fittings should be taken away and not dumped on the edge of the graveyard.  No earth or flowers should be left at either side of the cemetery, or deposited in the gripes.

While the Cemetery is under the jurisdiction of Meath Co Council, it behoves all of us, both those who use the cemetery and the wider community, to make sure that it is a suitably clean and tidy graveyard for all our faithful departed who lie there.

Stamullen Road Club

Last Saturday Craig Sweetman got the club off to a great start by finishing 1st A2 rider in the Mick Lally Memorial at Summerhill.

I am afraid that Sunday’s Cycleways Cup race at Navan did not go so well for the 200+ competitors as it was a matter of battling through bitterly cold conditions and blizzard snow showers. Seldom, but it has happened before that riders had to endure  such severe conditions and as a result, only the strongest and bravest managed to cross the finish line.
