Parish Annual Memorial Service

We welcome families and friends to the 6th Annual Parish Remembrance Mass.

Your prayers are requested for the repose of the soul of Mary O’Farrell, Gormanston whose funeral took place during the week.  We remember the bereaved in our prayers.

 

Parish Fund Raising Bingo

The Parish Bingo is on Wednesday, 23rd November at 8 pm in the City North Hotel.  The Prize Fund on the night is €5,000.  Looking forward to seeing everyone again for what is always a great night.

 

Raffle

We will be holding a Christmas Raffle on the night of the Bingo and we would appreciate any donations towards same. Donations can be festive themed, Christmas Cakes, Pudding, Bottles, sweets etc.  and can be left in the parish office during the week.

Ceremonies in the Parish:  Baptism

Last weekend we welcomed in Baptism: Dylan James, Niamh McKenna and Leah Maxwell.  May these newly baptised children always know and love Jesus as their friend. We ask parishioners to pray for these children and their families.

 

List of the Dead

List of the Dead envelopes are available beside the Newsletters and from the Parish Office.  They are also available in the yearly box of envelopes.  Please be sure to submit your list before the end of November.  You can leave envelopes in the box provided in both churches during Mass times only or drop into the Parish office.

First Communion Preparations – DTIM

  • Children from St. Patrick’s School, Stamullen will enroll on Saturday, 26thNovember at 7 pm in Julianstown.   Future DTIM masses for St. Patricks NS will be held in Stamullen Church.

We ask you to pray for all our young parishioners, as they prepare for these important steps in their faith journey.

 

St. Pauls Missals 2017

A limited number of Missals are on sale in the Sacristy.  The cost of the Missals is €7.  

 

StamullenArt Group – Christmas Fair

Stamullen Art Group are holding a Christmas Fair in the Parish Centre, Stamullen ton 3rd and 4th December.  We will have Art, Crafts, Cakes, hand knitwear, and a Raflle over the weekend.  Pop in on Saturday from 5-7 pm or Sunday from 9 am – 12 pm.

 

St.  Patrick’s Club – Lotto

Drawn on 15/11/2016. No winner. Numbers drawn:9,10,16,25. Weekly Winners: Carmel Finnegan, Anne Purfield, Betty Brodigan, Willie Collins, Daithi Finnegan.  Next Week’s Jackpot: €2,500. Next Crossbar draw:  November 29th €1,000St.

 

Patrick’s GF & HC – Club News

  1. The AGM of St. Patrick’s GAA Club takesplace on Thursday, 24th November at the GAA Club at 8pm.   All welcome.
  2. The AGM of St. Patrick’s Juvenile Section takes place onThursday,1st December at the GAA Club at 7.30pm.  All welcome.
  3. Social Dancing takes placeat St. Patrick’s GAA Club on Friday, 25th November at 9pm.  Music by Country Pride.  Adm: €10 including supper and raffle.  Last dance night for 2016.

 

Invitation to Public Meeting re Neglect of East Meath

Join us in the Glenside Hotel on 30th November at 8 pm.  Issues will include  the roads infrastructure, poor maintenance of public areas, lack of parking, pedestrian safety issues, planning matters and poor communication by Meath County Council.

Stamullen Road Club – Fund Raising for 2017

We are really looking forward to a packed house next Friday night in Whyte’s when we promote our annual Christmas Poker (Tickets €25 each). It is looking like all tickets will be sold.  This is  the first of our two fundraisers for the 2017 cycle race season and as the club only holds  two fundraisers over the entire year, we really do appreciate your support.

Fundraiser number two: Tickets for our Monster Christmas Draw which will be taking place in Whyte’s on Saturday, 17th  December have now gone on sale throughout the village and business outlets.  The first prize in this draw will be €1,000 cash followed by (11) other very valuable prizes.  The cost of tickets are only €2 each or a book of three for €5.

Also, following the Draw a small Auction with all proceeds going to Parish Funds will go ahead and 100% of the money raised on the night will be handed over to Fr. Declan (on this same night).  If anyone wants to donate an item for Auction (new), please contact any member of the club.

 

Young at Heart Christmas Party

The Young at Heart Christmas Party will take place on Friday, 9th December in Whyte’s of Stamullen.  If you would like to come along please contact Kathleen on 086-3702869.  Cost: €15, includes dinner and entertainment by Matt Leavy and a surprise on the night.. All welcome …….

 

Hope for Homeless H4H

Hope for Homeless (H4H) are a local volunteer group who run a soup kitchen at the GPO in Dublin every Monday night.

We are appealing for donations of back packs, (empty or filled).  We hope to be able  to give all our homeless friends a gift of a backpack containing some of the above.  We also have an account set up with Shane Curran Butchers in the Village and you can drop into him and donate any amount small or large.  Shane will give you a receipt and we will use the account to buy turkeys and hams.  We will be providing Christmas dinners on the run up to Christmas.

We are always appealing for donations of socks and underwear (new please) for both male and female, also accept second hand clothing and footwear for adults, donations of toiletries, and food and drink items. Donations (toiletries & Food items) can be dropped into Angela in the Physio and Sports Clinic and donations of warm clothing and footwear can be dropped into Emma in Launderland, Stamullen.

Colaiste na Hinse – Open Night

Colaiste na Hinse Open Night for 6th Class pupils and parents in the catchment area takes place on Thursday 24th November at 6.30pm.

 

Balscadden School Annual Christmas Fair

Annual Christmas Fair on Sunday 4th December 2016 from 9.30am to 2pm in Balscadden School Gym including Raffle, Bake Sale, Craft Stalls (some new Exhibitors added this year).  Refreshments, Christmas Gifts made by the children of Balscadden School & lots more including Magic Carl (Children’s Entertainer). Admission free.

 

Sacred Heart School Musical

The Sacred Heart School  5th year musical production of Beauty and the Beast takes place on Wednesday 23rd & Thursday 24th of November at 7.30pm in the TLT.  Tickets are on sale from the school office and the TLT and cost €10 each.  All are welcome.

 

Ardee Collon Parish Christmas Concert

Ardee-Collon Parish presents Mary Duff Christmas Concert with special guests Mary Byrne, X Factor and Nigel Connell, Voice of Ireland in the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady, Ardee on Thursday 15th December at 8pm. The Priory Institute – Online Advent Retreat
